What to Expect From Singapore Airlines’ New KrisWorld

The next-generation KrisWorld system will combine advanced entertainment technology with a redesigned interface and more personalisation options. Passengers can look forward to 4K high-resolution touchscreen displays, spatial audio, active noise-cancellation headphones, and Bluetooth connectivity for their personal headphones.

OLED displays will be available on selected aircraft and cabin classes, bringing deeper contrasts and more detailed visuals to the onboard entertainment experience. These improvements are designed to make long-haul flights more comfortable and enjoyable.

The updated system will also feature a redesigned user interface with improved search and filtering tools, a mini-player, and shortcuts to preferred content categories. These features will make it easier for passengers to discover entertainment and switch between different activities during their flight.

More Than 2,500 Entertainment Options

KrisWorld will offer more than 2,500 entertainment options, including movies, television shows, music, and podcasts. The selection will be curated and refreshed monthly, giving passengers new content to explore across different genres and interests.

The combination of high-resolution screens and spatial audio is intended to deliver a more immersive viewing and listening experience. Bluetooth pairing will also let passengers use compatible personal headphones instead of relying solely on airline-provided options.

High-Speed Internet With Starlink Connectivity

Singapore Airlines will complement its upgraded entertainment system with high-speed connectivity through Starlink-enabled aircraft.

The service is expected to support activities such as video streaming, social media browsing, online gaming, and work on personal devices. Passengers will have more opportunities to stay connected throughout their journeys, subject to the service’s availability and applicable conditions.

Starlink connectivity will be introduced progressively from early 2027 on Singapore Airlines’ Airbus A380, A350-900 long-haul, and A350-900 ultra-long-range (ULR) aircraft.

The addition of high-speed internet reflects the growing demand for onboard connectivity, particularly among travelers who want to remain productive or entertained during long-haul flights.

New Wellness Features for a More Comfortable Flight

Beyond entertainment and internet access, the next-generation KrisWorld system will include a wellness planner designed to help passengers manage their comfort during their journeys.

The wellness content will include sleep and meditation tracks, breathing exercises, and in-seat stretches. These options will give travelers practical ways to relax, unwind, and make their time onboard more restful.

For passengers on long-haul flights, these features provide another way to manage their time in the air beyond watching movies or browsing online.

When Will the New KrisWorld Be Available?

Singapore Airlines plans to introduce the next-generation KrisWorld system on 41 retrofitted Airbus A350-900 long-haul and A350-900ULR aircraft. These aircraft are scheduled to enter service progressively from 2027. The system will also be featured on the airline’s upcoming Boeing 777-9 aircraft.

Features will vary by aircraft and cabin class. Travelers should check their flight specifications before departure for details on the entertainment screens, audio options, and connectivity services available onboard.

Singapore Airlines’ Broader Travel Experience Upgrade

The KrisWorld enhancements form part of Singapore Airlines’ wider investment in its passenger experience. Other planned improvements include next-generation long-haul cabin products, refreshed dining options, new amenities across all cabin classes, and enhanced ground services.

The airline plans to unveil its new travel experience in Singapore in November 2026, ahead of the progressive introduction of the aircraft and onboard technology upgrades.

With improved entertainment, high-speed connectivity, and wellness content, Singapore Airlines aims to make time onboard more flexible and comfortable for travelers.

For passengers planning long-haul trips in 2027 and beyond, the upcoming changes offer a preview of how technology and personalisation could shape the next generation of air travel.
