The SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena, SM Seaside Cebu Arena and SMDC Festival Grounds recorded more than 1 million visitors from January to August 2026. That represents a 52 percent increase from approximately 710,000 visitors during the same period in 2025.

The growth comes as Filipinos continue to turn out for concerts, sporting events, family shows and other large-scale entertainment experiences. The addition of the SM Seaside Cebu Arena has also expanded SM Prime’s live entertainment footprint beyond Metro Manila.

More Than 1 Million Visitors in 2026

The SM MOA Arena remains one of the country’s major venues for international and local concerts, sports competitions and family entertainment.

From January to August 2026, the venue hosted more than 110 shows, up to 20 percent more than the same period last year.

SM Prime President Jeffrey C. Lim said the company’s venues are designed to offer audiences an experience that extends beyond the main event.

The properties combine live entertainment with dining, shopping, leisure and other amenities, allowing visitors to spend more time within the surrounding developments before and after shows.

For concertgoers, this also creates more opportunities to dine with friends, shop, meet fellow fans and explore nearby attractions before heading home.

SM Seaside Cebu Arena Opens With Sold-Out Concerts

The opening of the SM Seaside Cebu Arena has added a major new venue to Cebu’s growing entertainment scene.

Since its official opening in July 2026, the arena has already hosted sold-out opening concerts featuring BINI and IV of Spades.

The new Cebu venue also gives major local and international productions another location for concerts, sporting events and large-scale entertainment outside Metro Manila.

Its upcoming schedule includes Bida Sa Arena, Premier Volleyball League (PVL), Spikers’ Turf, East Asia Super League and LANY.

The venue will also host 14 performances of Disney On Ice presents Let’s Dance!, giving families another major entertainment option in Cebu.

Major Concerts and Shows Coming to SM MOA Arena

The SM MOA Arena is also heading into a busy final quarter of 2026.

Upcoming sold-out performances include Regine Velasquez, Silent Sanctuary, and 5 Seconds of Summer.

Tickets are also available for performances by Jason Mraz, Wave to Earth and LE SSERAFIM.

Families can look forward to 34 performances of Disney On Ice presents Let’s Dance!, adding another major attraction to the arena’s entertainment calendar.

With concerts spanning Filipino artists, international acts and family shows, the venue’s schedule reflects the broad audience that live entertainment now attracts in the Philippines.

SM Prime Venues Look Ahead to 2027

The strong event calendar is already extending into 2027, with several major productions announced across SM Prime-managed venues.

The calendar already includes Westlife’s anniversary tour, The Script’s sold-out three-show run, and Maroon 5’s Asia 2027 tour.

BIGBANG is also scheduled to perform at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Manila.

In Cebu, the FIBA Women’s Asia Cup is among the major sporting events announced for 2027.

These upcoming events are expected to bring another wave of visitors to SM Prime’s entertainment properties, supporting surrounding restaurants, retail establishments and other businesses.

Live Entertainment Becomes Part of the Travel Experience

Growing attendance at SM Prime’s venues reflects how concerts, sports, and family shows have become an important part of the Philippine leisure and travel landscape.

For visitors from outside Metro Manila, major concerts can also become weekend trips, with travelers booking hotels, dining at local restaurants, and exploring nearby attractions around their chosen venue.

Cebu’s new arena adds another destination to that growing circuit. With major concerts and sporting events scheduled alongside family entertainment, the SM Seaside Cebu Arena is positioned to become an important venue for visitors exploring Cebu.

With more than 1 million visitors recorded through August 2026, SM Prime’s live entertainment portfolio heads into the final months of the year with a packed schedule and an expanding lineup for 2027.
