Getting there

The restaurant is approximately 12 kilometers from Cebu City. Tell the taxi driver to take the SRP highway, turn left when you reach Starmall Talisay and drop off 700 meters further on the right side of the road at South Coast Center, an arcade along Cebu South Road. The restaurant is also accessible through multicabs that go to Minglanilla and Naga from Lourdes Parish in Labangon. The arcade also has a big parking area if you’re bringing a vehicle.

The restaurant is a fast casual setting with interiors inspired from Mondrian art, intersecting lines at right angles and planes in primary colors and I bet you might have thought that pink would dominate the interior colors of the restaurant, but that was not the case, only the brand logo. They have a semi-open kitchen, a bar, a display of their pastries and a dining area populated by lightly-colored tables and chairs capable of accommodating about 50 people in one setting. Pink Heaven is perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and coffee breaks.

Food

Name it, they have it. Their extensive menu comprise of appetizers, soups, salads, pasta and noodles, all day breakfast, entrée, meat pies, sandwiches, cakes, pastries, bars, cupcakes, breads, coffee, tea, smoothies, coolers, healthy drinks and sodas.

Their bestsellers include nachos, spicy shrimp salad, seafood cream pasta, lasagna, sizzling tangigue ala pobre, pink heaven ribs, sansrival, mango heaven cake, chicken ala king empanada, hazelnut choco frappe, mango malunggay smoothie, jasmine green tea, ginger lemongrass and orange carrot drink.

By the time we were there, we were able to taste some of their bestsellers, which became my newly-found favorite. Lucky for me, I only live two kilometers away.

I had Nachos for my appetizer with its juicy ground beef, flavorful salsa and generous ingredients.

Kaldereta

For our entrée, the beef kaldereta was a definite standout. I’m not a fan of viands with sauce, but this dish really tempted me to ask for one more serving maybe because of its outstanding recipe from Bulacan. The chicken teriyaki was also delightful, with its tender and well-marinated meat.

Moving on, the longganiza pasta was also a must-try especially when you pour a bit of pinakurat vinegar to combine the flavors of garlic, kesong puti, olives and of course Bulacan longganiza.

For our dessert, it was the first time I was able to taste Sansrival, also popular in Dumaguete and I really enjoyed its varying sweetness and texture brought about by meringue, buttercream and nuts, truly a dessert with “no rival”.

To end this culinary journey, you should definitely try their Mango Malunggay Smoothie, healthy, refreshing and definitely a unique Cebuano experience.

Price

A typical meal for two would cost around PHP700. Their appetizers range from PHP150 to PHP190, soups from PHP95 to PHP165, pasta and noodles from PHP99 to PHP280, all-day breakfast from PHP165 to PHP250, entrée from PHP188 to PHP285, meat pies from PHP125 to PHP210, sandwiches at PHP75, a slice of cake from PHP45 to PHP194, pastries from PHP30 to PHP45, breads from PHP6 to PHP30 and coffee, tea and drinks from PHP75 to PHP165. All prices are exclusive of 10% service charge. To be honest, they are on the pricy side, but quite reasonable considering their extensive menu.
