On 6 February, diners are treated to Hong Kong’s Chinese New Year Firework Display at The Drunken Pot Causeway Bay, which boasts stunning views of the fragrant harbour of Hong Kong – a joyous way to welcome the Lunar New Year, gather friends, family, and colleagues to enjoy soul-warming and comforting hotspot in style.

The culinary team at the Drunken Pot presents Year of the Pig Hot Pot Banquet Set (HK$468 per head, for 4 pax or above) to welcome the auspicious Lunar New Year.  Diners are invited to savor Chinese classic and favorite with a twist in Chinese New Year Buddha Jumps over the Wall Broth, made with fresh chicken and luxurious ingredients such as dried mushrooms, abalone, dried scallops, sea cucumber, vegetarian shark’s fin, and fish maw.  Slow-cooked for more than ten hours, this broth is truly one of a kind and made with love.  Decorated with delicate edible flowers, and cuttlefish-paste presented in a fish shape add beauty and taste; this stunning presentation serves as a symbol of prosperity and surplus in Chinese culture.

Hot pot ingredients created exclusively for Chinese New Year complement The Drunken Pot’s signature broth.  Highlights include Foie Gras Minced Pork Balls ($108 / 4 pcs), made with Mangalica minced pork from Hungary and foie gras from Italy; and Caviar Pork Balls ($88 / 3 pcs) made with Mangalica Pork stuffed with caviar, shaped like flower to represent blooming wealth and good fortune. Instagrammable and too-cute-to-eat Piglet Shaped Dumplings ($88 / 3 pcs) made with sweet corn and pork are crowd pleasers for adults and children alike.  Fish-shaped Cuttlefish Paste ($68 / 2 pcs) made with cuttlefish paste mixed with taro paste shaped into a pair of fish not only adds a delectable flavor to fish dishes but also serve as a symbol of prosperity and surplus in the upcoming year.

True to its ‘new age’ culture, The Drunken Pot delivers hot pot sets in recyclable ‘picnic box’ packaging, complete with utensils, reusable tablecloth and glasses, wet tissues and free rental of the pot and gas cooker (with refundable deposit). Complimentary condiments also include chopped green onion, dry onion, coriander, chopped peanut, chili and more; along with complimentary signature sauces including homemade soy sauce, homemade satay sauce, and homemade XO sauce.

The Drunken Pot’s Tsim Sha Tsui and Causeway Bay locations are closed in observance of the first day of the Lunar New Year, re-opening on the second day for business as usual from 12 noon to 3pm for lunch, and 6pm until late for dinner.
