A popular restaurant that originated from Portland, Oregon and serves breakfast all-day, every day has been operating in the Philippines since late last year. And just recently, they introduced their Christmas specials with their specialty the Gingerbread Batter with Apple Compote and Whipped Cream. It’s sweet, a bit spicy and pungent – all in one bite. Other items that will make you salivate include Cream of Broccoli, Grilled Three Cheese Sandwich, Wicked Cookies and Cream, Mint Chocolate Chip Milkshake and Coffee Caramel Almond Fudge Milkshake.

Slappy Cakes’ resident artist came up with different pancake arts of Christmas icons, such as a reindeer, Christmas ball, stockings, snowman, Santa Claus and of course, the Christmas tree. This is to make eating pancakes all the more fun and exciting.

On top of their mouthwatering offerings this Christmas, Slappy Cakes also launched a new campaign in line with Yuletide Season, the #SlappyFunChristmas. They’ll be giving away a year’s supply of pancakes to one lucky Instagrammer who can give the best answer to the question, “What would you do if you win a year’s worth of pancakes?”

“We always try to give our customers the best experience here at Slappy Cakes. In this case, we are celebrating the season with a unique pancake batter which they can use to make their own Christmas-themed pancakes, coupled with a contest where they get the opportunity to have pancakes all year. It’s our way of making the Christmas season more exciting and enjoyable for kids and kids-at-heart,” said Eric Teng, CEO and President of Mother Spice Food Corporation.

Then, answer the question, “What would you do if you win a year’s worth of pancakes?”

The contest started last November 28, 2014 and will end on December 31, 2014. Once they pick the winner of 52 pancake batters – which means a Slappy fun time every week for a whole year – they will announce it via the Slappy Cakes Instagram account on January 7, 2015.

The company opened in Portland, Oregon in the USA in 2009, and since then, they have become one of the most popular breakfast joints in the country as they offer an exceptional kind of dining experience — think pancakes of every kind for breakfast, lunch and dinner — with a fun and interactive setting that’s unlike any other. What really makes Slappy Cakes different from other breakfast restaurants is that there are griddles built onto each of their tables. To make dining a fun, creative and interactive experience for the kids and kids at heart — this is what Slappy Cakes is all about. This means that people of all ages, young and adults alike, will enjoy the friendly and welcoming atmosphere that this all-day breakfast joint offers.

After Slappy Cakes staggering success in Portland as well as in Tokyo, Japan, the company is now looking to melting the hearts of Filipino breakfast lovers with their mind-blowing array of pancakes and other breakfast dishes that will surely take dining to a whole new level.
