Gibb’s Hot Wings Streetscape in Cebu
Want to satisfy your cravings for the hot wings? Looking for a chill place to hang out with your friends without breaking the bank? Want to be inspired by this restaurant’s hole-in-the-wall beginnings?

Gibb’s Logo
The King of Sinulog is off to Gibb’s Hot Wings located at Streetscape Lifestyle Mall in Banilad, the brainchild of Coy Oliva. The hot wings concept started out as ‘pulutan’ for his ‘barkada’, whenever they met once a week to escape their wives, I meant to catch up and talk about their lives. Laughs. The hot wings were a definite hit that his social circle started ordering from him which made him decide to put up his first branch at an extra space inside his residence at Holy Family Village in Banilad. Rumours spread and the demand for chicken wings skyrocketed that he needed to find a new location for expansion and that’s what brought us here at Streetscape.
Getting there

Assuming you’re already in Cebu City, tell the taxi driver to go to Foodland in Banilad and drive through Maria Luisa Road. Streetscape Lifestyle Mall is on the right side of the road a few meters before the Banilad gate of Maria Luisa Subdivision. Gibb’s Hot Wings is located on the second floor of this building nearest the center stairs.
Ambiance

The establishment looked modern with an unfinished feel and a glass façade with lamps that reminded me of interrogation rooms. Laughs. Most of the walls were painted black with guest signatures and an artistic Gibb’s graffiti as centrepiece except for the brick-walled counter and kitchen. The dining area was populated with wooden tables and red steel chairs that spread outside overlooking the very big parking lot. The second floor was available for private functions and events as well. The establishment could accommodate at least 50 people in one setting.
Food

They have a simple menu consisting primarily of chicken wings. What really makes people check this place out is to find out if they can survive eating the talked-about Level-5 Freakin’ Hot Wings. Thankfully, for those who can’t handle the spiciness, they have a house blend that will surely sooth the burning sensation in your mouth.

For those of you like me who are not into extremely spicy food, Angel Wings and Spicy Honey Garlic Wings are a must-try. They also have other offerings such as tacos, carbonara, mozzarella sticks and potato wedges to name a few. You can also try their classic gelato that is made fresh daily. They also sell imported beers and alcoholic drinks to make the night a little more interesting.

Price
A typical meal for two would cost around PHP400. The chicken wings cost around PHP200 while the side dishes are around PHP125. If you’d ask if I got my money’s worth, well it sure did.
Service

Choose the time and day of the week when you visit Gibb’s Hot Wings since service will surely be affected when it is jam-packed especially on weekends and late nights. However, at the time we were there during #CebuFoodCrawl, everything was running quite well.

Overall, if you’re looking for the best hot wings in town then Gibb’s Hot Wings is perfect for you. Later!
