Tok Bali Beach in Pasir Puteh, Kelantan, Malaysia
Since we only have one whole day to explore Kelantan, we decided to rent a taxi to bring us around Kota Bahru and other interesting spots in Kelantan. Unlike in Kuala Lumpur, you will not find too many Taxi’s in Kelantan, and the best place to find one is near the Bus Station.
After discussing our itinerary with the taxi driver, the driver finally accepted the only RM200 for the whole day tour. Our first stop was at Istana Negeri near the City Center (blogpost soon).
The area is closed for visitors, so after taking photos of the garden in front of the building, we headed to Pasir Puteh to visit the famous Tok Bali Beach.
Tok Bali Beach is near Kelantan, Malaysia. It is very near to Canal Semerak. This is one of those beaches that are opted by local people anyway and is the favorite pick for foreigners.
This white sand beach offers a very clean and wholesome atmosphere that suits a holiday with a complete family. The awesome views of surroundings leave the visitor with the most beautiful memories of a holiday.
These beaches are perfect for a holiday because there are huts built near the coast for the visitors to stay in. The stay will be fun because it is absolutely adjacent to the coast.
If you are traveling with friends, this is a perfect destination because you can sit by your hut side and enjoy the bay’s beautiful view with a coastal atmosphere.
These beaches can be a perfect picnic spot if you love making day trips. It’s an ideal beach for swimming since the area is always clean.
There are few other beaches where you may get an awesome view but can not swim because of the unclean water and surroundings.
The exciting thing about this place is that you get the fresh seafood cooked and served to you since its also near the fishing bay area.
The fresh fish and squid can be bought from the Tok Bali Terminal for Landing Fish very easily. This is a very famous destination for fishermen as well because of the easy business here.
They do not have to bring the fresh catch to anywhere else so that the raw seafood will be more affordable to locals and tourists. The accommodations are all built, keeping one point in view that this is a holiday destination and people come here for a peaceful vacation.
The place may not have all the best resort facilities, but comfort is given high priority. At the same time, the accommodations are highly cost-effective, that people even opt for it as a frequent holiday destination as well. The huts can comfortably accommodate a family for an overnight stay here.
The place was so quiet when we arrived; in fact, no people were swimming at the beach. The only crowd we saw was a group of young Malay’s having some outdoor training in the area.
This is an apt place if someone wants to unwind from a tight schedule and continuous work. Commuting to this place is not easy, but you can rent a taxi or bring your own car for your own convenience.
If you are visiting Kelantan, Tok Bali Beach should be part of your itinerary. More than just a cultural destination, Kelantan can also be enjoyed by beach lovers:)
How to Get There
Transportation to get here is a bus and taxi. The bus fare is RM 2.00, and the taxi is RM 3.00. Tok Bali Beach offers tranquility and peace with caresses and breezes of the South China Sea. Facilities such as the surau, toilets, and rubbish bins are also provided.
The beach area provides cheap chalets for visitors who want to enjoy the night atmosphere in Tok Bali or fish at the mouth of the river or canal Tok Bali.
