Tips on Choosing the Best Hotel

When going out for a trip, you have to make sure to plan not only the places you want to go to or to see, you have to make sure that you also find a nice place to stay in! Sometimes, we all forget this, and end up ruining our vacation just because we didn’t get to stay in a good hotel. Remember: your activities in the morning matter, but getting enough sleep, comfort, and convenience in the evening will also matter as much!

The following are a few things we should all keep in mind when choosing the best hotel:

1. Room Space

First things first: Make sure the room you’ll book would have enough space for not only you and your loved ones, but also your luggage! What’s a room if you can hardly find a good spot to fit in? You’ll stay here for the rest of your trip, so make sure it’s spacious and comfy.

2. View from your window/veranda

A good room is nothing without a good view. The best room provides a beautiful view of the sea, the mountain, or the city, NOT the wall of the next building. And make sure you get enough ventilation if your room isn’t air conditioned.

3. Amenities

Depending on the duration and season of your stay, the amenities of your chosen hotel should match with your needs. For instance, summer vacation would be more fun if your hotel offers fresh water pools.

4. WiFi

Nowadays, the need for WiFi is akin to the need for shelter. If you’re going to spend some time away from home, make sure the hotel you’ll be staying in has an access to the Internet. After all, how else can you video-call and keep in touch with your loved ones?

5. Location

It’s best to stay in a hotel that’s conveniently close to the city (or the train/bus stations) but NOT too noisy to disturb your sleep.

6. Price

If there’s a discounted rate, then it’s needless to say that you should go for it. Go check Agoda.com. It offers online reservation as well as discounts.

7. Food & Breakfast

Some discounted rates might be tempting, but they don’t include breakfast, so you have to be cautious. Check the package before paying for it. Food, especially breakfast, is most important because there aren’t many restaurants open early in the morning.

8. Transportation Services

This is optional, as not many hotels have this, but it’s highly recommended that the hotel you plan to stay in offers transportation services. It’s convenient, and safe as well. Especially if you’re new around the area, getting this service will save you a lot of time and stress.

9. Check Online Reviews

If you’re going to a foreign place, and you really don’t have any contact in it whatsoever, then it’s best you check online review sites like Agoda.com. Here, travelers like you share their experiences in hotels they stay in, so you can base your judgment on theirs.
