Perfect Place for the Young, Hip, and Cool
Breathtaking view of the sea, amazing artworks, and hospitable locals make La Union a destination in itself. With waves of tourists coming to town, also comes a great number of food establishments around the area too.

During our day 2 of media familiarization with the RCL Properties team, we were able to discover a gem in La Union where you should dine the next time you visit – at ‘Ol Pub.

Ol’ Pub is fairly new in town which had opened December 2016. The establishment is located at La Union’s local point of interests like Flotsam and Jetsam, The Great Northwest Philippines Travel Stop & Viewing Deck, and the newest food park in town – The Food Project. One of ‘Ol Pub’s striking features is that they have repurposed things into something creative from car plates, and beverage brands on the back part of the restaurant.
As for the beers and other cocktails, don’t worry as pub have priced them fairly.
‘Ol Pub Specialties
It is said that the owners are self-confessed foodies. Their choice of menu were their own preference and collaborations with great chefs, ranging from Filipino and continental food with a unique twists.
We started off first with ‘Ol Pub’s Summer Salad. This one’s has the perfect color, and features some fresh greens, oranges, green apples, strawberries, served with vinaigrette topped with nuts and cheese. Its fresh, zesty, and its colors made it more irresistible to eat.

Their bar is filled with plethora of beers and its vibe feels like just hanging out in the backyard and just having some barbeque. ‘Ol pubs interior oozes with character with its old US navy car as a centerpiece, mismatched colored wooden tables and couches, roofing iron sheets as wall adornments, and more vintage displays, which creates a quaint and rustic vibe in the whole place.

I do believe that memories only get better with time, which is why I could fairly remember the Sinigang with a unique twist they served that day.

The Spam Fries. It was new to us, and I might say that it won’t like be forgotten even if I eat it a hundred times more.
It was also not difficult to get excited upon Ol’ Pub rice bowls which came one by one on out tables. Its rich flavors have embedded on my mouth until the next day

On evenings, it is turned into a music venue with large crowd visiting over to have some grub and eat some
More than the destination, however, what made this lunch and the whole media familiarization more fun is because of the great companion I’m with.
So the next time you plan you next La Union travel with your friends, you know where to go.
