Team Out of Town Blog recently attended the exclusive tasting event, where select people got to taste the new concoction from M Bakery’s kitchen. We also munched on some of their best-known items, just for kicks.

To celebrate their upcoming anniversary in the islands, M Bakery invites all fans to join them on August 21 for Manila’s first-ever National Banana Pudding Day. The new Choc Nut Banana Pudding flavor will be made available on this day, and we at OOTB got first dibs on it. Our verdict – it’s muy bueno!

The sweet nutty flavor of the Choc Nut pairs well with the now-iconic M Bakery Banana Pudding. The chocolate bar adds a chunky, toothy, texture to the dish, and its sweet flavor blends well with its creamy-milky flavors.

M Bakery franchise partner Stewart Ong was at the event to welcome guests, “We are very excited to launch our famous banana pudding dessert in an iconic flavor that is close to the hearts and taste buds of every Filipino,”

“The taste of Choc Nut offers a distinct flavor that reminds every Pinoy of fun childhood memories. We thought it would be great to innovate our most popular product using a local flavor that does not only offer our fans a different way to enjoy the taste they already love but also brings them great memories with every bite.”

According to Ong, the Manila-exclusive banana pudding flavor is made with fresh bananas, vanilla wafers, and creamy vanilla pudding layered with swirls of Choc Nut butter and real Choc Nut bar crumbs.

Chef Candy Lu, Head Pastry Chef and Franchise Partner of M Bakery also added her two cents concerning the creation of the dish. “It took us a few tries to perfect the balance of our banana pudding flavor with the distinct sweetness of the Choc Nut bar. We know how much Filipinos enjoy the unique and rich taste of ground peanuts, milk powder, cocoa, and sugar with every bite of the nostalgic Choc Nut bar, and we are ecstatic for our fans to try this special, new, and limited-edition flavor that they can indulge in.”
