MANILA, Philippines – Transportation and logistics provider 2GO has partnered with Culion Foundation, Inc. (CFI) to deliver thousands of books to public schools in Culion, Palawan, helping expand access to educational resources for students in geographically isolated communities.
Through its nationwide transport and logistics network, 2GO delivered 17,239 books to 19 elementary and high schools across the coastal municipality. The initiative supports CFI’s Education Program, which focuses on strengthening literacy, improving access to learning materials, and advancing foundational education in local communities.
The partnership highlights the role of logistics companies in supporting educational initiatives, particularly in island destinations where transporting essential resources can present additional challenges. By providing logistics support, 2GO helped ensure that donated books reached schools and students beyond major urban centers.
“At 2GO, we believe our role goes beyond providing transport and logistics solutions. By working with partners like the Culion Foundation, we leverage our nationwide reach to help address community needs and support education initiatives that create more opportunities for the next generation. Ultimately, connecting the country means helping ensure that more Filipinos can participate in and benefit from its growth,” said 2GO President and CEO Frederic DyBuncio.
For CFI, the collaboration demonstrates how private-sector partnerships can help address resource gaps in underserved communities. Reliable transportation plays a key role in delivering donated learning materials to schools, especially in geographically dispersed island municipalities.
“Our partnership with 2GO has been instrumental in helping us bring donated books to public schools across Culion. Their logistics support demonstrates how the private sector can mobilize its core strengths to create collective community impact. Together, we are helping make learning resources more accessible and opening more opportunities for children to learn, grow, and thrive,” said Eugenio M. Caccam Jr., CFI executive director.
The book distribution forms part of 2GO’s broader commitment to using its integrated transportation and logistics capabilities to support communities across the Philippines. Through collaborations with organizations such as CFI, the company continues to extend its services beyond commercial operations and contribute to initiatives that promote education and community development.
By connecting donated resources with schools that need them, the partnership reinforces the importance of collaboration in making education more accessible to children in island communities.
