Lunch at Patio Rizal Hotel and Restaurant in Lucban Quezon

After listening to a short lecture about organic farming and enjoying fresh green salad at Costales Nature Farms in Majayjay Laguna, we headed to Lucban Quezon for lunch.

In less than an hour, we finally reached Patio Rizal Hotel and Restaurant in Lucban Quezon. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were welcomed by Director Rebecca Labit – the Department of Tourism Regional Director for CALABARZON AND MIMAROPA.

Patio Rizal Hotel and Restaurant is a relatively new hotel located at the centre of the town. Its a pink colored “Bahay na Bato” inspired building standing right in front of the Municipal Hall of Lucban Quezon and surrounded by various pasalubong centers.

For lunch, we had Beef with Broccoli, Fish Fillet, Pancit Canton, Camaron Rebosado and Chinese Fried Rice. For dessert, they served fruit salad and Kaymito Salad. The Kaymito Salad was so good, it has purple colored kaymito, cream, young coconut with just the right amount of sweetness.

More than just the good food, I like the restaurants ambiance.. It brings back my childhood memories with my Grandma who always brings me to Lucban during Pahiyas Festival.

From Patio Rizal, we proceeded to Buddy’s Commissary. Located few kilometers from the town center, Buddy’s Commissary is where all the food served in all Buddy’s Restaurant branches are prepared and cooked.

During our visit, we toured inside the commissary and saw how Lechon Kawali are being prepared. We also saw some cooked Hardinera, Crispy Pata and Sisig waiting be be packed. The entire food preparation area is clean and the food processing is following international standards… this makes me want to eat more at Buddy’s Pizza now that Im convinced that their food is not just best tasting, its also good in every aspect. I just hope they will consider growing their own vegetables and livestock organically in the future just like in Costales Nature Farms…. that would be totally awesome.

Our quick tour at Buddy’s Commissary was followed by a visit to Kamay ni Hesus Shrine also in Lucban Quezon.
