Selected from auditions submitted through the Vivaoke app, the finalists will compete for PHP 300,000 in cash prizes at each weekly showdown. Beyond the monetary rewards, the competition gives emerging Filipino performers a chance to showcase their singing to a nationwide audience.

The competition will feature 24 finalists from Luzon, 12 from Visayas, and 12 from Mindanao, highlighting its reach across the Philippines and its goal of discovering promising local talent.

One SayaOke Winner Could Land a Viva Recording Contract

Aside from the weekly cash prizes, SayaOke offers aspiring musicians a potential pathway into the Philippine music industry. From the seven weekly winners, Viva will select one contestant to receive a recording contract.

Lloyd R. Manaloto, FVP and OIC at Smart Communications, Inc., said the competition provides aspiring singers with a platform to showcase their abilities and connect with audiences.

Powered by TNT 5G, SayaOke also demonstrates how mobile connectivity can bring people together through entertainment and shared interests.

MG Mozo, president of Viva Music Publishing, Inc., said the partnership aims to discover promising Filipino performers and give them an opportunity to pursue a professional music career.

The recording contract could provide a significant stepping stone for the selected winner, particularly for aspiring artists looking to move beyond local competitions and reach a broader audience.

Lyca Gairanod and Krissha Viaje Encourage Singers to Pursue Their Dreams

Viva artists Lyca Gairanod and Krissha Viaje joined the SayaOke announcement and shared insights from their entertainment industry experiences.

Gairanod, a singing champion whose recent viral song “Puede Nang Mangarap” has reached online audiences, highlighted the importance of opportunities that allow Filipino performers to share their talent.

She emphasized that a single opportunity can help aspiring singers move closer to their goals. Competitions such as SayaOke give participants a chance to reach more people, build confidence, and encourage others to pursue their dreams.

Viaje, a cast member of the Viva One series Our Yesterday’s Escape, also reflected on her experience pursuing singing from a young age and competing in contests in the Philippines and abroad.

She stressed that patience, hard work, and self-confidence are essential for anyone hoping to succeed in the entertainment industry. She also encouraged aspiring performers to take advantage of opportunities to demonstrate their abilities.

Their experiences underscore the importance of persistence and visibility for emerging artists, especially as digital platforms create more ways to discover and support new talent.
