The launch of the ASUS ZenFone Zoom early in 2016 is the latest in its series of innovative smartphone photography offerings, and a much-awaited one at that. Mobile photography enthusiasts would be happy to know that ASUS Philippines is determined to bring the experience to a whole new level with the help of visual guru and top-notch photographer Shaira Luna with its ZenFone Zoom campaign, dubbed #SeeThePhilippinesUpClose. She is the official brand ambassador of the iconic smartphone.

Jamie Zaldivar, Marketing Manager for ASUS Philippines, says, “For this campaign, we really wanted to further showcase the photography features and groundbreaking technology of the ZenFone Zoom that cannot be found in any other smartphone available in the market today.”

The campaign seeks to promote the Philippines and encourage creativity among smartphone users. With the use of the ZenFone Zoom, the thinnest in the industry with 3x optical zoom capability, users can produce truly unique photos. The smartphone is equipped with a groundbreaking 10P HOYA lens, which enables startlingly clear close-up shots up to 12x magnification.
Mr. Zaldivar explains, “The ZenFone Zoom allows users to capture in great detail from far distances the best sights the country has to offer, ultimately making this the perfect smartphone to #SeeThePhilippinesUpClose.”
A Perfect Pairing
Mr. Zaldivar says, “Without a doubt, Shaira is one the most celebrated lensmen in the country…. Her talent, passion, professionalism, and unique eye for photography ultimately make her the perfect fit for the ASUS ZenFone Zoom.”

The launch was held at the charming Las Casas Filipinas de Azucar in Bagac, Bataan. Ms. Luna enthused about the “mind-blowing and incredible smartphone photography experience with the ZenFone Zoom.” She instructed the audience on how to maximize the advanced features of the ZenFone Zoom to capture the essence of Las Casas Filipinas de Azucar.
Ms. Luna has proven her expertise over the years, featured in international publications such as The Fashionisto, The Interview Magazine, Cake Mag, Valentina, and C-Heads. She has also done work locally, doing editorial spreads featuring industry leaders and celebrities, as well as spearheading many brand campaigns.

She says, “I am more than thrilled to be chosen as the instrument of ASUS Philippines in order for Filipinos from all walks of life to really see and appreciate this beautiful country from different and more exhilarating perspectives.”
#SeeThePhilippinesUpClose and Personal
Followers also got into the action by casting their votes for their favorite photos by media photographers. The photos were taken using the ZenFone Zoom and compiled in the #SeeThePhilippinesUpClose album on the official Facebook page of ASUS Philippines. Three winners were announced based on the number of likes and scoring by Ms. Luna, and took home a ZenFone Zoom.

ASUS Philippine is also sponsoring another contest starting May 30. Participants will have to guess the actual subject of each of the weekly images Ms. Luna will post on her own or ASUS Philippines’ social media accounts. Weekly winners will take home a premium ASUS item.
