How to Get There

Putrajaya is situated about 28km from Kuala Lumpur and easily accessible by road or train. The state-of-the-art KLIA Transit train provides easy access to Putrajaya City from the KL Sentral Station. Visitors can also board the train from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport and KLIA 2. The train operates daily from 430am until midnight. From KL Sentral, the journey takes about 20 minutes with one stop along the way at Bandar Tasik Selatan. From KLIA, the travel time to Putrajaya is about 15 minutes. Visitors who are driving can use the Maju Expressway (MEX Highway) which connects Putrajaya to Kuala Lumpur. The journey takes less than an hour. Alternatively, RapidKL buses provide frequent service to the city.

Getting Around

Nadi Putra Buses ply almost every part of Putrajaya. The buses operate from Putrajaya Sentral, the main transport hub of the city. Park and drive facilities are also available here. Alternatively, visitors can take a taxi from Putrajaya Sentral. Day tours are also available from Putrajaya Sentral.

There is another park named Wetland Park which has the reputation of being the first ever-man made freshwater wetlands. Another major attraction is the Agriculture Heritage Park where visitors can have a glimpse of traditional Malaysian crops such as rubber, palm oil, fruits, spices, and even cocoa herbs. There is also a Forest park named Rimba Alam Park which is comprised of horse riding paths which runs along the ridges and hilltops towards the eastern edge of Putrajaya.

Putra Mosque

It is one of the famous landmarks of Putrajaya City. The mosque is made up of pink granite and is capable of accommodating a maximum of 15,000 worshippers at a time.
