Pinoy Pride Versus The World as MTV Officially Announces First Ever MTV Musical Evolution
Pack your bags and book your trips to Quirino Grandstand, Rizal Park as Filipino Talents will be given the chance to perform with award-winning artists from the U.S in one of the biggest concerts in the Philippines. The said event will be on May 17, 2015 and it is sponsored by the Department of Local Tourism as part of the campaign, “It is more fun in the Philippines”.

The Philippines has produced a number of singers mostly women as they are known for their high pitched voice but this might also be the chance for male Filipino hip hops to show their talents to the world. As briefly stated by Secretary Ramon R Jimenez Jr. “We Filipinos like to entertain and perform for people.
MTV Music Evolution 2015 will not only put the Philippines on the map of international music, but it will also serve as a global stage for the world to witness what Filipinos do best. The Philippines is a musically passionate country”.

MTV Musical Evolution 2015 in its first ever edition will highlight the evolution of hip hop and enables people to know and experience how music styles and sounds evolved through the years while presenting the best of Philippine music and culture. The Musical Evolution will showcase iconic and contemporary hip hop acts from international and local scenes all in one stage.
MTV Asia has officially announced the first wave of artists to take the stage. Grammy Award winners, Naughty by Nature will be accompanied by the Philippines’ own celebrated rapper, Gloc-9 and hip hop artist, Abra as they will perform in Quirino Grandstand.

They will not only perform for their fans in the Philippines but also to more than half a billion viewers or households in over 160 countries as the highly anticipated event will be broadcasted live globally under MTV World Stage global series.
The event will be hosted by MTV video jockeys’ Alan Wong and Hanli Hoefer. Other artists who will participate in the event will be announced at a later date.
