Coron Soleil Garden Resort Review

Palawan, Philippines — We all know that feeling — spending a vacation and falling in love with a beach town and tranquility – and this is what I’ve felt in Coron during a familiarization tour organized by PHILTOA.
Coron undeniably holds a special place in my heart. As a matter of fact, it’s one of my favorite destinations in the Philippines and along with that is also a handful of favorite places to stay on this island. Each time I visit here, I always make sure to try and review a new resort or hotel, and here’s an interesting resort you check out real soon, or perhaps this summer. Read along.
Last year, I joined the PHILTOA familiarization tour along with local tour operators and travel writers. What I love about joining PHILTOA Fam tours is the chance to stay in different hotels and experience its unique hospitality. Among the two hotels we are scheduled to stay in Coron, is Coron Soleil Garden Resort.
Coron Soleil Garden Resort (hotel info) is one of the newest accommodation complex in Coron where you will find a 4-star resort, a 3-star budget hotel, and a nice restaurant. It prides itself as a luxurious sanctuary in Palawan that offers its guests a grand vacation experience like no other.
The hotel is tucked away in the Coron town proper, which is located at the foot of Mt. Tapyas, the center and the highest peak in Coron. This 210-meter mountain second highest place in Coron, giving its visitors a complete view of the town from its view deck. It also has a large cross at its peak which is visible even from below. For those who wanted to take a short stop at the mini-park and catch the breathtaking sunset, free to do so by getting halfway up the mountain.
I’ve been in Coron plenty of times but this time is made more memorable, thanks to the wonderful reception and welcome drink from the staff of Coron Soleil Garden Resort. Upon stepping foot at this hotel, we were warmly welcomed We were immediately assisted by the staff, brought in our luggage, down to the check-in process.
Coron Soleil Garden Resort has 27 well-appointed rooms. As a digital nomad, I loved how WiFi is pretty accessible, and the room I got had its own working desk. The hotel has room ranging from superior rooms, deluxe rooms, poolside villas, poolside premiere rooms, and poolside suites. All suite rooms feature the convenience of a full-service unit, fully equipped with a dinette and kitchenette with microwave oven, mini refrigerator, electric cordless kettle, dinnerware, and tableware.
For business travelers, they are equipped with a conference room for meetings, product launch, incentive trips, conferences, and other events.
The resort has three F&B outlets that serve international, Filipino, and local Palaweno cuisine which is conveniently located right next to the lobby, wherein non-staying guests can also enjoy its offerings. Your gastronomic experience wouldn’t be as complete without trying their fresh seafood dishes.
One of the restaurants I totally admired is the Sol 721 which name was derived from the idea of 721 steps going up to Mt. Tapyas. It’s complemented with wooden tables and chairs with a minimalist approach for a relaxing dining experience. It can accommodate up to 70 guests.
This hotel boasts 288 sqm kids and adult swimming pool and massage services for a complete wellness experience. They also have laundry, pressing, and dry cleaning services. If you want to do your work somewhere else, they have a business center for a quiet place to work at. A souvenir shop is also housed inside the hotel in case you wanted to bring something to your loved one when you departed the hotel.
Lastly, they offer a free shuttle transfer from and to the airport for hassle-free travel.
Although it has been a blissful stay, there comes our departure. Same with the check-in process, it was just as smooth as our check-in. The staff of the hotel were all accommodating and all smiles as we departed the resort.
If you’re looking for a place to stay on your next Coron getaway and want to escape the sizzle of the city life, then Coron Soleil Garden Resort is the place to be.
