I stayed at the hotel recently during the launch of AirAsia Asean Pass in Bangkok, Thailand. Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok (check rates) only offers the highest standards of facilities and hospitality. I also find its convenient location ideal as it gives easy access to the airport and the city center.

To be exact the hotel’s address is 1695 Phaholyothin Road, Chatuchak, Bangkok, Thailand. Yep, that’s Ladprao business district and near the city’s timeless landmarks. Very advantageous!

The hotel provides an easy access to Suvarnabhumi International Airport which takes just over 30 minutes or only 15 minutes to downtown area and the underground Mass Rapid Transit and the BTS Skytrain are only minutes away from the hotel.

Upon staying in Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok (hotel info), I immediately understood that it’s truly Thailand’s very first integrated five-star hotel. It’s reputation for focused service, magnificent dining and contemporary accommodations are spot-on.

The hotel is stunning and classy. Vitality and the play of transparency versus solidity are the trademarks of the overall design. These features combine to form a building whose lightness belies its large size of 56 floors.

I was delighted with the luxurious room that comes in generous size featuring a bright décor, inside, I found a bathrobe, bathroom Amenities, bathtub, laptop connector, hot & cold shower, IDD telephone, in-room entertainment, in-room safe, mini bar and cable television. I told you, they only offer the highest standards of things.

However, my room had an unfortunate air-conditioning glitch. So, I called up the front desk to report it and they sent a technician in my room in less than 10 minutes. If that wasn’t impressing enough, they even called me to apologize and check if the air-conditioning unit was working fine already. It was reassuring to know that the staff in general is professional and efficient.

The room that I stayed at has a sufficient number of electric outlets and each side of the bed has a great reading light. I was also immensely satisfied with their complimentary wireless internet; it was faster than most hotels I have stayed at.
The hotel’s outstanding facilities include an extensive swimming pool, fully-equipped Fitness Center, Club Executive Lounge, Business Center, meeting and conference facilities, tour information desk, airport limousine and car rental services.

They also offer traditional aromatherapy, therapeutic massages and treatments at a reasonable price along with the hotel’s beauty salon. Centara Grand Club Executive Lounge offered complimentary meal services daily, pre-dinner cocktails and evening cordials. Tea and coffee are served all day as well.
Wandering around, I discovered that the hotel boasts nine restaurants and each offers a dining experience for everyone extending from authentic Italian cuisine to remarkable buffets with a hint of Asian and International flavors.

But my favorite would be the Blue Sky Urban Bistro and Rooftop Bar since it combines great dining experience with stunning view over Bangkok’s skyline.

I had a lovely stay at Centara Grand and I’d love to stay there again. Centara Grand (discounted rates) has earned a reputation for being the best in Southeast Asia for its handling of international conventions, exhibitions and banquets. And it justly delivers!
Overall, the hotel solidifies its place as a work of art. Centara Grand not only continues to position itself on the top list of quality hotels, at the same time it upraises the social responsibilities that a hospitality trade could contribute to the society.
