The college’s alumni roster has increased from 30 in the inaugural Michelin Guide Philippines selection to 49 in the 2027 edition. The graduates represent various programs, including Culinary Arts, hospitality management, business administration, professional certifications, and scholarship initiatives.
Announced on October 29, 2026, the second Philippine selection of the Michelin Guide features 127 establishments: 10 Michelin-Starred restaurants, 31 Bib Gourmand recipients, and 86 Michelin Selected restaurants.
For Enderun Colleges, the latest recognition highlights its graduates’ achievements and contributions to some of the country’s most recognized dining establishments.
The alumni represent a diverse range of professional roles, from chefs and restaurant managers to wine specialists, hospitality professionals, and business leaders. Their collective achievements demonstrate how culinary education and hospitality training can open doors across the restaurant industry.
FLOW Earns Its First Michelin Star
One of the standout achievements in the 2027 Michelin Guide Philippines is FLOW’s first Michelin Star.
The Makati restaurant brings together several Enderun graduates, including co-executive chefs Kevin Uy and Gabriel “Gato” Ong, Sous Chef Betina Carangan, and Chef de Partie Patricia Bautista.
Uy and Ong graduated in 2016 from Enderun’s BS International Hospitality Management program, specializing in Culinary Arts. Their professional journeys took them through internationally recognized kitchens before they established their partnership at FLOW.
Uy spent five years in Peru working with the group behind Central, Mil, and Mater Iniciativa. Ong gained experience at Alain Ducasse at Morpheus in Macau and Amber in Hong Kong.
Their combined experience now shapes FLOW’s approach to contemporary dining, bringing together Peruvian and Filipino culinary traditions, ingredients, and techniques.
Carangan and Bautista further strengthen the Enderun connection within the restaurant’s kitchen team. Their contributions highlight the importance of teamwork, technical expertise, and consistency in delivering a Michelin-recognized dining experience.
Culinary Scholarships Create Opportunities for Future Chefs
The 2027 Michelin Guide also recognizes Enderun graduates from Youth with a Future, a culinary scholarship initiative that provides opportunities for aspiring chefs from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Launched in 2014, Youth with a Future is a joint initiative of Enderun Colleges and École Ducasse in Paris. The program offers culinary scholarships to students from Tuloy Foundation, an organization that supports young people through shelter, education, and vocational training.
Participants receive foundational culinary training at Tuloy’s culinary center before continuing their education at Enderun. The program also supports internships and employment opportunities, helping scholars transition into professional kitchens.
Several program graduates now work at FLOW, which earned a Michelin Star, and Cirkulo, which received Michelin recognition.
Their achievements demonstrate how access to culinary education, mentorship, and professional opportunities can help aspiring chefs establish careers in the hospitality industry.
Restaurant Leadership Beyond the Kitchen
Enderun’s Michelin alumni roster includes more than culinary professionals.
Rafael Cruz, a graduate of the college’s Marketing Management program, serves as Chief Operating Officer of the LJC Group. The group’s Abé restaurant in Taguig earned a Michelin Selected distinction in the 2027 guide.
His inclusion highlights the importance of business management and operational leadership in the restaurant industry.
Restaurants depend on more than exceptional food. Successful establishments also require effective operations, financial management, marketing, customer experience, and team leadership.
Cruz’s career shows how business graduates can help drive the growth and sustainability of restaurant brands.
Enderun Alumni Continue to Earn Michelin Recognition
Enderun alumni were already represented in the inaugural Michelin Guide Philippines selection.
Erin Recto received the Philippines’ inaugural Michelin Service Award for her work at Hapag. Michelin recognized her professionalism, warmth, and ability to combine operational expertise with exceptional hospitality.
Another notable achievement came from Don Patrick Baldosano of Linamnam, who received the inaugural Michelin Young Chef Award.
Both Hapag and Linamnam earned One Michelin Star in the 2026 edition and retained their distinctions in 2027.
Other alumni connections include RJ Ramos and Alphonse Sotero of Lampara and Papillon, alongside Lampara head chef Jeanina Phoebe Punla and co-owner Prince Tan.
The Enderun alumni roster also includes Kevin Soliven and Arlo Gregorio of Metiz and Automat, Bryan Carlo Favila of Kodawari, and Marc Francis Chua, Jonathan Chantong, and Juliana Ross Guzman of Seva.
Additional alumni work at Antonio’s Tagaytay, Balay Dako, Azalea, Steak and Frice, and Now Now Canteen.
Their professional responsibilities cover culinary development, restaurant service, brand management, wine expertise, and business operations.
49 Alumni Reflect the Growing Influence of Culinary Education
The increase from 30 alumni in the inaugural Michelin Guide Philippines to 49 in the 2027 edition represents 19 additional graduates identified across the two selections.
The growing roster also illustrates the range of career opportunities available to Enderun Colleges graduates.
Some alumni lead restaurant kitchens, while others establish dining concepts, manage restaurant groups, oversee operations, or specialize in wine and hospitality.
Their achievements highlight the different professional pathways within the culinary and hospitality industries.
As the Philippine dining scene continues to develop, Enderun alumni’s accomplishments reflect the importance of culinary education, professional training, mentorship, and industry experience in shaping the next generation of hospitality professionals.
