New Places to Hang Out in Cebu With Your Family

Cebu is teeming with all sorts of activities and, as a parent, I am quite glad that they have a number of places where families can hang out and enjoy some good time. An even better news is that many of these new spots are unique places and are a first in the island and probably in the entire country.

Are you ready to check out these new spaces? Well, here they are:

Extreme Aeropark

I highly recommend Extreme Aeropark for those who are looking for a gym alternative that will make them feel like they are not working out. It is such an awesome playground, offering more than 1,700 square meters of trampoline space. Did I mention that the park is the first in the VisMin region?

You can bounce your way around the trampolines, play dodgeball, practice hoops, climb walls, conquer a ninja obstacle course or play bubble soccer. Kids below six years old cannot join in for safety purposes but otherwise everyone can enjoy staying here the entire day. Plus they also have showers so you can quickly freshen up after!

Harvig’s Mini Golf Park

I have never tried golf before visiting this place as golf courses are often exclusive and membership is extremely expensive. Fortunately, the Swedish owner decided to have a mini golf park put up in the island because of the lack of it.

We had a lot of fun in the 9-hole golf course and, despite its mini size, it was still quite a challenge (well at least for one who has no experience in the sport). Kiddos can practice their putting skills although it can be a whole lot of a challenge for toddlers.

Yet another adult playground which also works well for families is the first board game cafe in Cebu. It’s quite small compared to what many people might expect but it still provides enough space to cater to the growing board game community in Cebu.

Families who hang out here can enjoy great food, drinks and awesome board games. Classic games are available and can be enjoyed by everyone of all ages. If you have older kids, you can also try out more challenging board games and ask their game masters for assistance.

Tom N Toms Coffee

This popular South Korean brand has finally opened its doors to the Cebuano market and it was received pretty well. Cebu already has a lot of cafes around but here is yet another one to hang out that (hopefully) isn’t too crowded yet.

The coffee shop offers coffee, tea and other iced beverages as well as pastries, pretzels, bread and pizza.

Sugbo Mercado Dos

Sugbo Mercado, which takes place in Cebu IT Park, started out as a weekend food market back in 2015. In order to cater to its growing customers and vendors, the organizers finally decided to branch out at the 1,500 square meter space in Pescadores Road at the Cebu Business Park.

Sugbo Mercado in IT Park happens Thursdays to Saturdays from 5pm to 1am. Meanwhile, Sugbo Mercado Dos in Cebu Business Park will take place Fridays to Sundays from 3pm until midnight.

Now you do not have to limit yourselves to watching movies or hang out in the malls. Instead, you can take your family to any of these new cool places around Cebu and have a great time!
