Romblon is one of the most promising tourist destinations in the country because of the numerous beaches perfectly distributed all throughout the province. It is a part of MIMAROPA region which is known for clear waters and beautiful mountains. In this article, we listed the best beaches in Romblon group of Islands, in case you consider visiting the beautiful province on your next vacation.
List of Must-Visit Beaches in Romblon
1. Bonbon Beach and Sandbar (Romblon Island)
Sandbars are a fantastic attraction when going to beaches since they are very unusual to see. With a measurement of 18 meters in length and width, Bonbon Beach offers a fine white sand shoreline close to what Boracay sand looks like. It is also a combination of sharp stones and sloping ocean floor, making it dynamic and suitable for all types of guests. During low tide, a small islet on the right side of the beach is accessible, perfect for swimming and photoshoots.
2. Binucot Beach and Island (Tablas Island)
Binucot Beach is an amazing spot with convenient amenities. Here, you can maximize your time with a number of fun activities, like coral viewing, because of its well-maintained natural pieces. This place is booked mainly by couples for its perfect and romantic sunset.

3. Cresta de Gallo Islet (Sibuyan Island)
A two-hectare island surrounded by coral reefs, guests can enjoy viewing the rich marine life in the province. The island is famous for its amazing white sand bar and secluded beach, which is good for picnics, swimming, and total relaxation.

4. Aglicay Beach (Tablas Island)
One isolated place perfect for unwinding, Aglicay offers a wide stretch of beach with fine white sand. It boasts turquoise waters sweeping into a long, vast stretch of soft white sand that nature has generously and naturally deposited at the edge of its long, rolling hills after centuries of wafting amihan breezes on the Aglicay shores.
5. Calatrava Coves (Tablas Island)
This beach is mainly visited because of its similarity to Coron, Palawan. Apart from white sand beaches, it is also a group of coves with magnificent lime rock formations. Because of its thick forests, it is also home to a wide variety of birds.
It is a group of isolated coves hidden amongst the limestone rock formations of Calatrava covered with white sand beaches and thick forests home to numerous endemic birds. One can hire an outrigger boat from the fishing port of Calatrava for an island hopping tour, which will bring you to Paksi Cove, Lapus-Lapus Beach, and Tinagong Dagat.
6. Lapus Lapus Beach (Tablas Island)
Located behind the cliffs of Calatrava, this beach was named after the passages between the rocks dividing it. Thanks to its coral walls, it is also a perfect spot for diving and snorkeling.
7. Tiamban Beach (Romblon Island)
Similar to Bonbon Beach, it has a narrow beachfront stretching about 50 meters. With its clear waters, beautiful rock formations, and quiet location, locals considered it a favorite beach destination. This place is accessible via boat or by land from Romblon town proper.
8. Talipasak Beach (Romblon Island)
Talipasak Beach, also known as San Pedro Beach Resort, is located in Barangay Ginablan and accessible by a 30-minute ride from downtown Romblon. The fine white beach will make your vacation ecstatic. One of the most striking features of Talipasak Beach is the towering stone walls teeming with lush greens on both sides of the beach. The water is clean and calm, ideal for swimming.
9. Cobrador Island (Romblon Island)
The expansive beachfront is covered with white sand and crushed corals, making the visit really worth it. Among the treasures of Cobrador are its beaches. One of them is located on the eastern side of the islet. It has a wide expanse of shore covered with fine white sand and crushed corals. Its’ gradually sloping ocean floor is free of seaweed, but about 15 meters from shore are big boulders. Since there is no regular trip to Cobrador, one must hire a pump boat. At the Romblon pier are docked motorized pump boats, which, for a fee, will transport tourists to the island.

10. Carabao Island
Dubbed the most beautiful beach destination in Romblon, it is also known as the sister of Boracay because of its wide proximity and similarly white sand. It is flat, measures around 28.9 square kilometers, and has some of the most beautiful beaches in Romblon.
Locals consider the island the “Boracay of the past”. Its beaches are covered with powdery, fine white sands, with clear warm water and gradually sloping ocean floors without the massive number of tourists characteristic of Boracay. It is a thirty-minute boat ride from Boracay Island and an hour from Caticlan Jetty Port.
