PH landed in 8th place among travelers’ favorite countries in the world

From our captivating landscapes, pristine beaches, and world-class hospitality, our country without a doubt is something everyone should be really proud of. The beauty of our country has been recognized by a lot of international award-giving bodies and that includes the recent Condé Nast Traveler’s Top 20 Countries in the World (link).

Last October 7, Monday, the complete list was announced at their website, with the Philippines ranking 8th, with a score of 90.63.

Here are the countries included in Condé Nast Traveler’s Top 20 Countries in the World (in particular order)

In the same year, Condé Nast Traveler’s readers also named Boracay as the best island in Asia, Cebu, and Visayas in 2nd place receiving 2 million travelers annually, and Palawan ranking 4th in the same category. The magazine even mentioned Boracay as “close to a tropical idyll as you’ll find in Southeast Asia, with gentle coastlines and made-for-Instagram sunsets. Fold in a thriving nightlife scene, and you have one of the top tourist spots in the region.”

The result was based on the magazine’s 600,000 readers who registered for the 2019 survey.

The magazine has also released their top world cities in the world, with Tokyo, Japan winning the first spot again and Mérida, Mexico in first place for the small cities category.

In the category of the readers’ favorite country, Indonesia ranks first, ahead of Thailand and then Portugal.
