The stars will explode this February and March 2011. It’s that amazing time again where you can sit back and enjoy the fire in the sky and the music of the spheres as the many nations that love pyrotechnics get together to compete to see who has the best pyromusical compositions at the 2011 Philippine International Pyromusical Competition.

Happening in February and March this years competition promises to be even more incredible than the past years by starting out with two ot the biggest and most amazing competitors used their fire tubes and blossoming stars to set the night afire. Viewers relaxed and enjoyed the spectacle as South Korea and Spain lit up the night last Saturday – February 12, 2011.

Don’t worry though, the show continues on the 19th of February with a very intense sounding display from the United Kingdom where you can expect to be blown to smithereens and also by the Portuguese who are no strangers to using fireworks having been some of the first Europeans to import the idea from China.

The following week you will be able to enjoy the displays and sounds of the actual inventors of fireworks on February 26th as China does their best to take the title that they probably deserve since they have been using fireworks longer than anyone. Of course, France might have something to say about that and while you can be sure that people will be eating cake we don’t know if it will be off with their heads or not.

On March 5th it’s the Kamikaze Japanese and the Canadians. We don’t know how they can do it, but we’ve heard rumors that the Canadians are going to somehow make a maple leaf appear in the sky which would sound amazing except some of the Japanese have said they are going to do a fireworks display which illustrates an entire manga comic. All kidding aside, both teams are ready to tango.

The final night is the big night for Filipinos as you will see the home team’s best and brightest pyrotechnic engineers showing everything they’ve got and the Aussies will also be trying to create a true show stopper as they have the last display of the competition. This happens on March 12th and you won’t know what country will win unless you see them all. So come on out, enjoy the fireworks and music and relax while the stars explode before your eyes.
