Philippine International Balloon Festival 2014 in Lubao Pampanga

Late last year, we announced here that the Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in Clark was cancelled and was replaced by another hot air balloon festival called Philippine Friendship Balloon Festival 2014.

Last month, we learned that Philippine Friendship Balloon Festival 2014 was already cancelled but heres the good news : there will be a Hot Air Balloon Fiesta this year!

The Pilipinas International Balloon Festival Inc. Chairman Noel Castro recently announced that they will be staging this years Hot Air Balloon Festival in a sprawling 300-hectare tourism estate in Barangay Prado Siongco, Lubao town on April 10 to 13, 2014.

This is the first time that the balloon festival will be held outside Clark Freeport Zone in Angeles City Pampanga since its inception in 1994.

Noel Castro said that the organizers made intensive studies and preparation and secured necessary permits to ensure the safety and security of the festival spectators. Apart from the safety and security, the organizers also employed enough staffs to ensure the success of the biggest hot air balloon festival in the country.

This years balloon festival will feature 35 colorful and special-shaped hot air balloons like Simba, Angry Bird, among others. The venue in Lubao Pampanga can accommodate 100,000 people and it is much bigger that the previous venue.

Some of the much anticipated activities in the hot air balloon festival are balloon fight, night glow, kite flying, live bands, street dancing, cultural presentations, car show, bazaar and food festival.

Where to buy Hot Air Balloon Festival Tickets?

Philippine Hot Air Balloon Festival 2014 tickets will be sold in SM Pampanga and other SM outlets nationwide.
