MTV Music Evolution Live in Manila
MTV Asia has officially announced the date of one of the biggest hip hop concerts to grace Manila. May 17, 2015 is the date of the first ever series of MTV Music Evolution. Top artists around the Globe and the Philippines team up for the gracious event-unprecedented like no other.

Grammy Award-winning hip hop trio, Naughty by Nature will team up with Gloc-9 and Abra as the first wave of artists to take the stage in Quirino Grandstand, Rizal Park as announced by MTV Asia. Unique in its own kind, MTV Music Evolution aims to bring to life the evolution of music genre and allows people to know and experience how music styles and sounds have progressed through the years.

The first edition of MTV Music Evolution will primarily feature hip hop from both international and local acts all in one stage while presenting the best of Philippine music and culture. The artists will not only perform to their fans in the Philippines but also to their international audiences, three quarters of a billion households from over 160 countries as the highly anticipated show will be recorded live as part of the MTV world stage global series. The event will be hosted by MTV ASIA VJ’s Alan Wong and Hanli Hoefer.

As the lead up to the event, MTV will present a themed program of the hip hop genre to its viewers through the MTV Hip Hop Rapresentz. A line up of 30-minute artist specials with the likes Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj, Eminem, 2NE1 and Filipino talents such as Abra and Gloc-9 will be presented in their own music videos and live performances. The 30 minute specials will be aired in the Philippines on April 2 onwards to the event.
