NUSTAR Taste Cebu 2026
Beyond the festive atmosphere, Taste Cebu serves a greater purpose—proceeds from ticket sales are donated to the Cebu Food Bank via the Universal Cultural Foundation, Inc. (UCFI), the social responsibility branch of NUSTAR Resort Cebu. Each ticket purchased enables guests to help combat food insecurity and support community development efforts across Cebu, making the event both a celebration of flavor and a catalyst for positive change.
On July 9 and 10, 2026, at the Grand Ballroom of NUSTAR Resort Cebu, the event offers a gallery-style exploration of Cebuano food heritage, highlighting its origins, evolution, and ongoing change. Each one-hour guided session takes guests through all galleries and tasting stations. Visitors can select from five time slots daily: 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, 5:00 PM, and 7:00 PM.
Curated by Cebuano author and food historian Louella Theresa A. Eslao-Alix, Taste Cebu: Heirloom Culinary Gallery combines food, history, and storytelling in a way that extends beyond just the meal, enabling guests to explore and grasp the cultural stories behind some of Cebu’s most lasting dishes and traditions.
The experience starts in the Listening Room, where guests learn about the stories, influences, and history that have shaped Cebuano cuisine. Then, four themed galleries guide visitors through various chapters of Cebu’s culinary heritage, from traditional roots and home-kitchen practices to fiesta customs and contemporary interpretations. Each gallery features tastings that bring the story to life.
Tickets cost PHP 2,199 per person for regular and walk-in guests. Hotel guests receive a discounted rate of PHP 1,899, and students can purchase tickets for just PHP 1,000.
Taste Cebu: Heirloom Culinary Gallery showcases NUSTAR’s dedication to promoting local culture through exceptional experiences, extending its positive influence beyond the resort. By combining heritage preservation, culinary storytelling, and community engagement, the event highlights Cebu’s rising reputation as a culinary tourism hotspot and supports the Cebu Food Bank’s mission via UCFI.
