Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura
Prepare for a high-end gastronomy experience at Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura – Gucci’s restaurant, located in Florence Italy.
We’ve heard different brand going on extraordinary ventures like the clothing brand Bench, opening a Bench Café in BGC. Then there’s Gucci’s Restaurant. It is also obvious that these brands come with their own concept and quirks as well as distinctive brand elements that appear throughout the space, from decors, down to the interior.

Serious and first-time diners are in for a treat at the newly-opened Gucci Restaurant. In an article by CNN, it’s been shared that the restaurant’s menu features dishes that include a fancy burger (€15/$18), a Chianina hot dog (€15), steamed bun with pork belly (€15) and, of course, tortellini in Parmesan sauce (€20.) So this means, for this 4 dishes, it will already cost you €66 or Php 4,000 + in one seating.
The brand’s newest vventure is said to be an experiential restaurant overseen by three-Michelin-starred chef Massimo Bottura, and housed within its misnomered Gucci Garden, a new six-room concept store (not garden) which is near from the Uffizi Gallery.

It was reported to have opened to the public on January 2018. According to an article by The Guardian, no dish costs more than €30, which is pennies in Gucci currency, and that diners can buy the Gucci plates afterwards, in the shop.
And as for those who are asking, what Gucci did was commercially brilliant, because it is comparatively affordable, and not what people have in mind of paying more. According also to the article, Harvard Business School calls these potential customers brand tourists – someone who values the brand, dips their toe in once, but doesn’t pretend to be part of the club. And since brands such as Gucci have made a success by having their fingers in the millennial pie, rolling out something as social media friendly as food is smart.
What’s inside the Gucci Garden
Tourist and leisure travelers will always look for new and exciting flavours in every country they visit.

If you can see on the pictures from CNN, the interior of the restaurant are mixed of green, white, and brown. If you look closely within the walls, it is engraved with lines from a traditional 15th century carnival song by Lorenzo de’ Medici. Chairs are well-designed accentuating the whole vibe of the place.

Inside the Gucci Garden are exhibition of Gucci’s finest products from jewelry, watches, gifts, ready to wear, home collection items and beauty. There is also the Gucci Museo displaying the best products of the brand.
The garden also houses the Cinema Da Camera – a small, red-velvet tented cinema auditorium where the audience can watch experimental films.
