Summer Holiday: Famous Summer Beach Destinations in the Philippines

When you start to decide where next to take that all-important summer holiday, the Philippines should spring immediately to mind.

This is also known to be one of the best dive spots in the country, Honda Bay comprising of several islets with its glittering coral reefs presenting great opportunities for snorkeling. The Tubbataha Marine Park; a World Heritage Site, offers the most stunning coral views in the area when diving.

Malapascua Island, Cebu, a tiny island located at the northeast tip of Cebu Island has a beautiful beach with coral reefs, unexplored caves, sunken Spanish galleons and dense, uninhabited jungle teeming with exotic plants and animals to delve into. This sparsely inhabited area lacking in mass tourism is perfect for intrepid travelers who would like a beach holiday which allows them to venture into the distant and the unknown, discovering what treasures this area holds by themselves.

The Puraran Beach on Catanduanes Island is reported as one of the best surfing locations in the world, with its best season from April to June.
