Everybody loves TOYZ Cafe in Makati

People are always trying to say that some other neighborhood is better, more up and coming, or filled with more places to go. Sure, there are lots of great places to go in Metro Manila, but when you are looking for that special something, there really is only one place to go to and that is Makati.

Toyz Cafe Makati

After having my “second dinner” at IL Ponticello Cafe Ristorante, I found my self in a corner couch having iced cold beer at TOYZ Cafe Bar in Palanca. Toyz Cafe is one of the local Rev&Rave Bar partner of the 2010 Formula 1 Singtel Singapore Grand Prix.

Makati offers you thousands of choices with theme bars and regular places where you can just sit and chill out. There’s something for every taste down in Makati. One place you may want to check out is TOYZ Cafe Makati. TOYZ is a man inspired bar and while sitting inside it feels a little bit dark, old, and kind of grimy when you sit outside you really get the feel of the place.

The menu at TOYZ is in the mid-range and the music is great with a contemporary mix that will get your booty shaking. The best nights to visit are Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday though if you want to avoid the crowds you will want to go to TOYZ Makati Cafe on Saturday when it’s not so jampacked. Peak time is around 11:00 PM but the place starts filling up around 10:00 PM and the crowd hangs around until 2:00 or 3:00 AM when people find somewhere else to go.

The menu is a decent value. The TOYZ platter will feed two or three people and has wings, potato wedges, quesadilla, and nachos. All of that for about 340 pesos . The chili wings are rocking, and the nachos are delicious. The quesadilla and the potatos are a little bland. Drink wise, you will find the prices to be about average and TOYZ has everything you might want. I recommend that you try the Melmac Iced Tea. It’s an orange flavored tea with Jaggermeister. I know, it sounds terrible but it tastes great, plus it will really knock your socks off. Be careful!

Overall, I think TOYZ is a pretty good place to get together with friends and figure out what to do later in the night. Have a couple of drinks, enjoy the music, and then head out for some late night fun somewhere else. Visit ToyZ and make sure to order any Rev and Rave drinks and get a chance to win a trip to Singapore to witness the 2010 Singapore Formula 1 Grand Prix!
