The event witnessed an afternoon of friendly competition among five hotel brands under DHC as chefs and F&B staff show off their culinary and bartending skills.
The talented chefs and their Food and Beverage (F&B) service colleagues gathered recently at the Discovery Suites Ortigas for the second Culinary Cup, an annual inter-property competition among Discovery Leisure Company, Inc. (TDLCI) hotels and resorts.

The Filipino-owned hospitality group mounted the first edition last year to provide members of their team a platform to showcase their talents and hone their skills for global competitiveness, as well as bring them all together to strengthen their bond as a family.

Again held at the Columbus function room, this year’s competition judges were renowned foodies: Head of Sales for Don Revy Aries Mayuga, celebrity chef Shiela Lopez, Dine.ph editor Alu Aran and Foodservice Philippines President Adolf Aran Jr.

Of the countless staff who came all the way from Discovery Shores Boracay, Club Paradise Palawan, Discovery Country Suites Tagaytay, as well as those from Discovery Suites Manila and Discovery Primea Makati, six emerged as winners for five categories, namely: Table Setting, People’s Choice for Table Setting, Hot Section, Bartending, and Pastry.

The 2019 winners for this year’s Culinary Cup are:
