Sprawled near the famed Mount Batulao, the Sandari Forest Reserve is home to a variety of plant species, ranging from low-lying shrubs to gigantic, century-old trees. These include imposing and magnificent Balete trees and the very useful Banaba, which boasts numerous medicinal benefits, such as treatment for diabetes and weight management. Flowering plants and fruit-bearing trees are interspersed in the high-density growth of greens, providing color, diversity, and beauty to Sandari’s ecosystem.
