Festivals in Bukindon

Kaamulan Festival is an ethnic cultural festival held annually in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon from the second half of February to March 10, the anniversary date of the foundation of Bukidnon as a province in 1917. Kaamulan is held to celebrate the culture and tradition of the seven ethnic tribal groups—Bukidnon, Higaonon, Talaandig, Manobo, Matigsalug, Tigwahanon and Umayamnon—that originally inhabit the province.

How To Get There

Manila to Cagayan de Oro – Located in North Central Mindanao, Cagayan de Oro is 1-1/2 hours from Manila by plane.

Malaybalay City has no airport; the nearest one is the Lumbia Airport in Cagayan de Oro. The city also relies on the Cagayan de Oro seaport for the delivery of its products to other destinations in the Philippines as it is the closest port to the city. The nearest seaports and airports are in Cagayan de Oro City, which is 91 kilometers away.

Public utility buses and jeepneys serves as the main mode of transportation for the City’s inhabitants. The Rural Transit Mindanao, Inc. operates the Cagayan de Oro to Davao City route, Cagayan de Oro to General Santos City route, Cagayan de Oro to Wao and the Cagayan de Oro to Libungan route that all passes through the city.
