Boracay Movenpick Resort Opening Soon

Mövenpick Resort & Spa Boracay, a Swiss hotel management corporation, recently appointed Mr. Albert Ocasio as the head honcho to oversee the new Boracay Movenpick Resort, scheduled for launching in July 2016.

Mr. Albert Ocasio is an experienced and known figure in the property management industry in the country, certainly up to the challenge of managing the second Mövenpick resort to open in the Philippines. The first Mövenpick offering was the Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu, with its contemporary design and 245 rooms.

An English-speaking American citizen with an excellent command of Spanish, Mr. Ocasio began his career in the hospitality industry in 1996 at the front desk of the Ritz Carlton Pentagon City, also serving as its night manager. He did his stint in other Ritz-Carlton establishments in Philadelphia as well as Bharain and was Executive Assistant Manager (rooms) position at the Ritz-Carlton Cancun when he left in 2009, to become eventually the general manager of the Banyan Tree Club & Spa in Seoul in 2012. He took on general manger positions at the Banyan Tree Hotel and Resorts/AngsanaVelavaru in the Maldives, and Banyan Tree Hotel and Resorts/Angsana Laguna in Phuket, Thailand.

Regarding his present position, Mr. Albert Ocasio says, “It’s a great honour to be handed the reins to this highly distinctive hotel for its launch.” He goes on to describe the hotel, “Mövenpick Resort & Spa Boracay sits in a gorgeous private cove, with its low-rise design gentle on the surrounding pristine environment. The Boracay Movenpick Resort is in the north west side of Boracay island, offering 333 rooms to visitors intent on having a good time at the famous Punta Bunga Beach with its powdery white sand, awesome sunsets. and clear blue waters. The resort is a cluster of nine low-rise buildings around a multi-level lagoon pool that blends naturally with environment nestled.

The resort offers eight groundbreaking restaurant notions including Italian, Japanese and Korean specialties and private beachfront dining allotments. In addition, the resort has its own organic garden from where chefs can pick the healthiest and freshest of ingredients.

The Boracay beach lifestyle is the overall focus at Mövenpick’s Beach Club, which will offer music and other forms of entertainment for the guests.
