AirAsia Zest leads “To Philippines With Love” campaign to help typhoon Yolanda victims

AirAsia Zest, in collaboration with Tune Hotels, today officially starts, To Philippines With Love, a donation and relief drive aimed at helping typhoon Yolanda devastated communities in central Philippines.

To Philippines With Love, involves free airlift of goods and transport for accredited rescue, humanitarian and medical workers. Donations are accepted at AirAsia Zest cargo office in Manila and will soon be extended to all AirAsia and AirAsia X regional network in ASEAN countries including China and Australia.

AirAsia Zest is freeing up cargo space on its domestic and international flights for delivery of relief goods. For those who are keen to help, including non-governmental organizations (NGOs), civic groups, aid and humanitarian agencies as well as members of the public, please send in your requests to [email protected].  Instructions on delivery and cargo requirements will be provided after evaluation of the request. In the spirit of solidarity and to assist in much needed relief efforts, Tune Hotels will also be extending complimentary hotel accommodations to accredited aid workers and individuals Tune Hotels has six hotels in operation in the Philippines including three in Metro Manila – Quezon City, Makati and Ermita; Angeles, Pampanga; Cagayan de Oro, Mindanao; and Cebu City. Requests will be handled centrally via the AirAsia Zest operation centre.

AirAsia Zest has been operating humanitarian flights to Cebu and Kalibo since Saturday, 9 November, carrying uniformed policemen, relief goods, medical and rescue workers in coordination with various government agencies, local and international aid organizations and Non-Government Organizations (NGOs).
