More reasons to visit Bohol
On April 17, Tuesday, AirAsia formally signed as Bohol’s official airline partner for 2018. The partnership has been running for three years now, and that afternoon, Provincial Administrator Alfonso Damalerio representing the Bohol Provincial Governor Edgar Chatto, and AirAsia CEO Captain Dexter Comendador were there to sign in a ceremony at Amorita Resort in Panglao, Bohol.

The agreement covers joint brand advertising, promotional activities and campaigns, familiarization trips for consumer and trade associations, media, and travel agencies, greater tourism development and route network synergy, joint roadshows to trade partners, and more.
“This will help Bohol, not only in area of tourism but in the area of business and other investment of opportunities particularly in the town of Panglao”, says Provincial Admin Damalerio. “We make sure that our tourism industry and local officials are following environmental guidelines and standards so that we’ll be able to make Bohol a place that is safe for everyone” he added.

AirAsia CEO Captain Comendador said “We aim to better connect secondary cities and hubs. We seek to take Bohol to new heights and rise among premier tourist destinations not only in the Philippines, but also in the whole of ASEAN, in greater Asia and beyond where the AirAsia Group has massive connectivity.”

They also announced the much-awaited opening of the new Panglao Airport this year. It’s not just an ordinary airport, but it takes pride on being an Eco-airport which will also cater to international flights as well.
