Amorita Resort Bohol Review
“The lack of distraction is probably the only distraction in the resort”. That’s how I described Amorita Resort Bohol on my 2011 hotel review.
As years passed by, quite a few things have also changed in the resort. Despite these changes, though, I still found the place lovely and enjoyable. In fact, Amorita Resort Bohol (resort info) is increasingly gaining traction as being one of the best green and luxury hotels across the globe.
Promotion to drive more people to visit Amorita Resort is made possible by the resort’s partnership with Philippines AirAsia, which is deemed one of the budget carriers that enables passengers to travel to different parts of the country and Asia at affordable prices. The said partnership has paved the way to highlight the beauty of the resort even further while promoting the amazing fun activities in the island.

Amorita Resort Bohol has many qualities that made it popular among travelers. People who visited the site multiple times are witnesses to how the resort developed in time.
In this article, I’m listing down the top reasons why I truly love Amorita Resort Bohol. Read on.
Location is one of the primary reasons why this place is unique as opposed to other resorts. Visitors will have to use the Ester A. Lim Drive, a narrow path leading to the resort. The road itself may not be as appealing, but the treasure is found at the end as soon as you see the gate of the resort. You will see a different side of the area, making it an astonishing place for everyone to visit.
The resort is located atop a limestone cliff. This cliff provides visitors a view of the lovely Alona Beach, which is the center point for people who want to see the beautiful sunrise and sunset while lounging in the pool area. This view alone is enough to give visitors an idea of how gorgeous the location is and why it’s regarded by many tourists a home away from home.
I stayed in a One Bedroom Suite, one of its prime bedrooms with a comfy bed that features a minimalist and contemporary design. The suite has a living room, private balcony, designer tub, and easy access to the infinity pool. Guests who will use this room can easily step out and take a bath while enjoying the view (yes, that’s certainly lovely).
The resort has numerous rooms with space that is perfect for every tourist looking for a comforting getaway.
Amorita Resort is a Green Resort
This resort takes pride in being an eco-friendly hotel in Bohol. But of course, this eco-friendly feature is not limited to how the hotel is designed or setup. It stays committed to the cause of maintaining a green world by providing drinking water in refillable glass bottles rather than plastic bottles. Guests are also provided with a buri bag, which is a good bag to use for shopping around so to avoid using plastic bags during visitors’ stay in the resort.
Rather than using electronics like iPod dock, the hotel sets a Loud Bastard Bamboo music amplifier to ensure sound amplification and, of course, to minimize the use of electricity.
The resort houses the Saffron Restaurant, which is the best place to experience Filipino cuisine with the Boholano touch. Chef Raphael Onchiong conceptualized the restaurant. This then became among the best (if not the best) restaurant in the island. When you visit there, you will be treated with their breakfast buffet, hot chocolate, and turon.
If you love Spanish food, you can also try out Tomar, a classy tapas bar that fuses Boholano taste with Spanish cuisine. You have to try out their Paella dishes (yes, these will make you forget your name).
It Boasts A Secret Beach
Don’t you know that Amorita touts its own little pocket beach that you can access via wooden staircases located just a few walks away from Saffron Restaurant?
Here, you can definitely enjoy life at its best. This place also has resort staff who are readily available to serve you. Plus, you can also order drinks anytime you wish to have one.
Apart from the beautiful garden in front of my one bedroom suite, the entire resort is actually located in a lush tropical landscape. The hotel is surrounded by lovely gardens. The feeling was as if you are living within a forest with endemic ornamental plants, flowers, huge trees. Plus, the sound of birds is just perfect to make you feel more relaxed.

One of the reasons why I love Amorita is the warmth of the people in the place. The employees are always ready to lend a hand to make visitors’ stay extra special. From the moment we entered the reception pavilion until we bid goodbye to the place, we were always greeted with a smile and affable service.
Amorita Resort (resort reviews) is indeed a great place to stay in Bohol. With years of development, the resort is now a top-recommended resort to visit as it boasts amazing features. See you again soon Amorita!
