Following a successful previous edition that generated US$53.4 million in business opportunities and attracted more than 10,000 buyers, Taiwan Expo 2026 will take place at the SMX Convention Center Manila from September 17 to 19. More than 125 Taiwanese exhibitors are expected to participate, offering Filipino visitors and businesses a closer look at products and technologies shaping the future of sustainability, agriculture, healthcare, technology, and modern living.

The participating companies will showcase their products under a unified “National Team” banner. The event is organized by the Taiwan International Trade Administration under Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs and implemented by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council.

According to James C. F. Huang, Chairman of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council, the strong response to the previous edition demonstrated the growing potential for deeper collaboration between Taiwan and the Philippines.

The focus this year goes beyond traditional buying and selling. Taiwan Expo aims to encourage partnerships through joint ventures, licensing opportunities, and local assembly, creating long-term connections between Taiwanese and Philippine businesses.

A Growing Connection Between Taiwan and the Philippines

The return of Taiwan Expo comes as trade relations between Taiwan and the Philippines continue to expand.

Taiwan and the Philippines recorded US$6.71 billion in goods trade in 2024, while bilateral trade continued to grow during 2025. The increasing commercial relationship reflects growing opportunities for cooperation across manufacturing, technology, renewable energy, agriculture, healthcare, and consumer products.

For visitors, the expo also provides an opportunity to discover how Taiwanese innovation is increasingly influencing everyday life. From smarter homes and sustainable consumer products to food, wellness, and environmentally friendly technology, the event offers a broad look at products designed for both business and lifestyle markets.

Green Innovation Takes the Spotlight

One of the major highlights of Taiwan Expo Manila 2026 will be the Green & Innovation Showcase.

Energy storage, hydrogen microgrids, and grid resilience technologies will take center stage as the Philippines continues to expand its renewable energy capacity. These technologies could be particularly relevant to island communities and off-grid areas, where reliable electricity remains an important challenge.

Visitors can expect to see battery energy storage systems and hydrogen microgrid solutions designed for communities and facilities operating outside major power networks.

The pavilion will also feature certified green building insulation designed to reduce cooling requirements in commercial buildings. With the Philippines’ tropical climate and high demand for air conditioning, energy-efficient construction solutions could play an increasingly important role in sustainable urban development.

Other innovations include AI-powered waste sorting systems that could help local governments manage increasing landfill pressure, as well as fully biodegradable drinking straws made from plant-based materials.

Together, these products highlight a growing shift toward practical technologies that address environmental concerns while supporting modern urban living.

Smart Solutions for Agriculture and Food

Agriculture will also take center stage at the Agritech & Food Pavilion, where Taiwanese companies will introduce technologies designed to improve productivity and address labor challenges.

Among the innovations are Autonomous Mobile Robots, which can reduce dependence on manual labor for selected agricultural tasks. Smart environmental control systems for livestock operations will also be showcased, offering solutions designed to help poultry and swine producers manage temperature and environmental conditions.

These technologies could help reduce production losses and improve efficiency, particularly for farms facing rising operational costs and labor constraints.

The pavilion will not focus on technology alone. Visitors can also discover premium Taiwanese products, including elegant Phalaenopsis orchids, high-mountain teas, and specialty food items.

For Filipino food lovers and lifestyle enthusiasts, this section offers a chance to explore products that reflect Taiwan’s rich agricultural traditions while also introducing modern approaches to food production.

Exploring AI, Robotics and Digital Technology

Technology enthusiasts can explore the Intelligent Technology Pavilion, which focuses on Artificial Intelligence of Things, edge computing, robotics, and cybersecurity.

Among the products on display are collaborative robots designed for manufacturing environments. Unlike traditional industrial robots, collaborative robots are developed to work alongside people, making automation more accessible for a wider range of workplaces.

Warehouse and logistics operators may also find interest in advanced forklift safety systems designed to improve workplace safety and operational efficiency.

Cybersecurity will be another major focus. Exhibitors will introduce zero-trust cybersecurity frameworks and other digital security solutions aimed at businesses navigating growing online threats and ransomware risks.

As digital services become increasingly important in daily life and business operations, the pavilion offers a glimpse into technologies that could influence how companies manufacture products, manage logistics, and protect digital information.

Beauty, Wellness and Healthcare Innovations

The Beauty & Wellness Pavilion will combine consumer-focused biotechnology with medical and healthcare products.

Visitors can expect to see biotech skincare innovations alongside functional bio-electronic devices and advanced packaging technologies designed to combat counterfeiting in pharmaceutical and cosmetic products.

Healthcare suppliers will also showcase sterile surgical supplies, medical dressings, and other products intended for hospitals and healthcare institutions.

The combination of beauty, wellness, biotechnology, and medical products reflects the growing connection between personal care and science-driven innovation.

For lifestyle consumers, the pavilion offers an opportunity to see how technology is increasingly integrated into skincare, wellness products, and healthcare solutions.

Sustainable and Smart Products for Everyday Life

The Premium Lifestyle Pavilion rounds out the Taiwan Expo experience with products designed for modern homes, travel, mobility, and everyday living.

Among the featured items are bags made from recycled rPET fabric, demonstrating how recycled materials can be transformed into practical consumer products.

The pavilion will also feature electric vehicle safety blankets, ultra-absorbent micrometer towels, memory storage devices, smart wine aerators, and precision bathroom components.

Many of the participating brands are looking for Philippine distributors and retail partners, potentially opening the door for more Taiwanese lifestyle products to become available in local stores.

For visitors interested in sustainable shopping, smart home products, travel accessories, and innovative everyday items, this section offers some of the expo’s most accessible and consumer-friendly discoveries.

A Place to Discover What Could Shape Tomorrow

Taiwan Expo Manila 2026 offers more than a traditional trade exhibition. It brings together technologies and products that connect directly with some of the biggest changes affecting modern life.

Renewable energy, smarter agriculture, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, healthcare innovation, sustainable products, and modern lifestyle solutions will all share the same exhibition floor.

For business visitors, the event presents opportunities to explore partnerships and distribution opportunities. For technology enthusiasts and lifestyle observers, it offers a fascinating look at the products and ideas that could eventually become part of everyday life in the Philippines.

From hydrogen microgrids and AI-powered waste sorting to premium teas, biotech skincare, and recycled lifestyle products, Taiwan Expo Manila promises a diverse showcase of innovation.

As Taiwan and the Philippines continue to strengthen commercial ties, the 2026 edition highlights a future built not only on trade but also on collaboration, sustainability, and shared innovation.

Taiwan Expo Manila 2026 will be held at the SMX Convention Center Manila from September 17 to 19, 2026.
