At the launching of Robinsons Retail-Chevron partnership at the Makati Shangri-La
Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc. (RRHI), the second largest multi-format retailer in the Philippines, has partnered with one of the major oil players Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), or also known as Caltex, for Robinsons Rewards Card.

With the partnership, Robinsons Rewards Card members can now earn points by purchasing various fuel products in over 700 Caltex service stations nationwide. For every five-liter fuel purchase, you will earn one (1) Robinsons Rewards Point which is equivalent to Php1.00. A maximum of 60 liters per purchase can be converted to Robinsons Rewards Point.

But the Robinsons Retail-Chevron partnership for the Robinsons Rewards Card will not only allow members to earn points through purchasing fuel products in Caltex, points earned in your Robinsons Rewards Card can also be redeemed in Caltex stations.
Here’s the mechanics:
a.) A minimum balance of 50 points is required before a cardholder may begin to redeem points. Cardholder may redeem less than 50 points per fuel purchase.
b.) Cardholders can redeem one (1) point for every liter of fuel purchased. Each point redeemed entitles the cardholder to a Php1.00 discount per liter.
c.) The cardholder can redeem a maximum of 60 points per fuel purchase.
d.) Any fuel purchased in excess of points redemption shall be eligible to earn points.
To make it clearer, here’s an example:
I will purchase 20 liters of diesel in Caltex using my Robinsons Rewards Card with available balance of 100 points. Let’s say diesel price is at Php29.00 per liter, so my 20-liter diesel purchase costs Php580.00. Based on the mechanics, I can redeem 20 points in my Robinsons Rewards Card which is equivalent to Php20.00. This means my bill now only costs Php560.00. My new balance after redeeming 20 points in my Robinsons Rewards Card shall be 80 points.

But what if I have 50 points in my Robinsons Rewards Card and I’m purchasing 55 liters of fuel? Well, I can redeem all my 50 points or an equivalent of Php50.00-disocunt. Referring the fourth mechanics, the excess five liters shall earn one (1) point. My new balance now in my Robinsons Rewards Card is one (1) point.
