TOMS reveals new Star Wars-themed Shoe Collection
Manila, Philippines — With the conclusion of the blockbuster success that is Star Wars’ Skywalker saga, we can’t help but feel a little sad saying goodbye to the iconic characters who gave us some of the most memorable moments from the widely-acclaimed franchise.
Toms, just in time for the cinema release of The Rise of Skywalker, is bringing back all our childhood feels with the launch of its second Star Wars-themed sneaker range.
The new Star Wars x Toms capsule collection pays tribute to the original trilogy—Star Wars (1977), The Empire Strikes Back (1980) Return of the Jedi (1983)—and offers everything from sleek high-top sneakers inspired by Luke Skywalker’s Rebel pilot helmet and Princess Leia’s Echo Base snowsuit. (Hans Solo is somehow missing, but we forgive them for their kid-friendly slip-ons featuring Yoda and R2-D2)!
Features include printed footbeds highlighting scenes from the films, woven character sketches, custom embossing, and subtle design nods to each character. Designed by footwear designer Nathan Photavath (who himself is a Star Wars fan), the collection is gender-neutral so everyone can cop a pair.
Toms Philippines executive Carlo Pullini said that by purchasing a pair, you’ll also bring good to the galaxy as every one pair of shoes they sell, they give one back to kids who can’t afford to buy their own. This way, you’re literally with “the good side” of the Force (and flaunt your fandom in style) wherever you go!
