Philippine Travel Tour Expo 2016 is definitely the biggest!
Looks like February is going to be one busy month for tourism-associated groups and entities. This coming February 5 to 7, 2016, the biggest ever Travel Tour Expo (TTE) 2015 will take place. Its much larger space is set to be taken over by at least 228 exhibitors who will present their products and services to the public and guests at the SMX Convention Center in SM Mall of Asia, Pasay.
Seen as the largest expo in TravelTour Expo’s 22-year history, TTT will occupy four (4) halls of the main floor and five (5) function rooms on the upper floor of SMX Convention Center. That’s at least 16,000-sq. m. of exhibition floor space for everyone to tour around.
In support to the DOT’s campaign, “Visit Philippines Again 2016″ – Hotels, resorts, airlines, national tourism organizations, tour operators, travel agents, and even delegates coming from the medical tourism industry will be participating at TTE. It’s somewhat refreshing to hear of travel package bundles mixing up medical procedures and certain destinations.
TTE has been around for about 21 years already with the Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA) as the organizer. It was in 1994 when TTE was conceived by the PTAA with the goal of showcasing products and services of its members.
Through time, TTE became a much bigger and highly awaited event by all segments of the travel and leisure business. It, in turn, became the biggest gathering for the travel and tourism industry.
Last year, more than 100,000 visitors flocked to the TTE’s three-day event which had 1,015 booths which housed 334 firms and organizations. It was included in the line-up of events in celebration of Visit the Philippines Year 2015.
Tourism Promotions Board CEO Domingo Ramon Enerio III stated to the press that the year-round program puts an emphasis on adventure, arts and culture, business, entertainment, lifestyle, sports and travel.
Those who’d buy in the expo may receive subsidy on a case by case basis. Although registration is open to every qualified firm, members of the association will be prioritized for subsidy provision or to become subsidy buyers.
