If there is one place in the world that has the setting of east meets west, I would say; Dubai. Where the modern ideology and technology of the west collaborates with the eastern weather and culture.
When I set foot in this oriental paradise in March 2016, the first thought that entered my mind was, I felt I was home, or I would say I felt that I was in my second home. Everything I saw was beautiful and breathtaking and to be honest, it is hard for me to elaborate which place is worth visiting. As I write this article, I am still crunching my head to put in the most worthwhile places to visit.

Here are at least five must see places when you visit Dubai:
1. Burj Khalifa
Standing at 829.8 meters, the Burj Khalifa is the tallest man made building in the world. Now, why shouldn’t it be a must visited place then? This is one of Dubai’s pride structures that cannot be missed. What is most amazing about the Burj Khalifa is, its observation deck which is on the 124th floor, is also considered the highest observation deck in the world. Once standing inside, you will be able to see nearly half the city. And depending on the weather, especially if the skies are clear and the tides are low, you can also see the shores of Iran. Now, isn’t that fascinating?
2. Kite Beach
Now for something more related to sand, sun and the sea; the beach. For all you water sport enthusiastic or for those who want to get a nice tan and relaxation under the sun, the Kite Beach is by far the most popular beach to visit. With a string of activities to choose from, or open air themed restaurants and bars to dine at, one can be able to spend the whole day just sitting here. What more can you ask for when you are sitting on the sand, sipping a nice cool drink, enjoying the waves hit the shores, watching the kites above and hearing the water sport activities going on? It’s a priceless feeling and also it occurs to your hearts content where money cannot buy!
3. Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood
For history lovers, this is a highly recommended place to visit. The Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood. Ever wondered what was it like for people of the past and how they lived? How they went about with their daily lives? Well this historical place has been well preserved and properly maintained to show the example of living in the past. Not only would you see houses, but also galleries and museums that portray the rich culture and proud heritage of this place. It is like a never ending maze eagerly waiting to be discovered, one monument at a time.
4. The Desert Drive
Feel like going for a thrilling adventure? Then the desert drive is a must for those who crave an adrenaline rush! Hire a four by four wheel drive and dash into this safari trail in the late evening, where you can enjoy the fast pace of racing through heaps of sand. There are also sandboarding activities available if you are not in the mood to just drive. Watch as the sun sets, disappearing under the sea of sand, and enjoy a fun night life with a barbeque party and other culture related enjoyments. What makes it more a memorable enjoyment is when you are doing it with your loved ones.
5. Ski Dubai
The title may make you re-read it again. But I am pretty sure that is what I really meant. When the weather becomes unbearable, even I feel like I want some cold English wind blowing through me. So what I did was visit Ski Dubai. If you feel that you want to get back into a winter related atmosphere, while still on holiday, then this is the perfect place to go. This indoor ski area has regulated temperature between -1 degrees to -6 degrees to create a snowy atmosphere, perfect for skiing. And everything you need to ski or to ice skate is in this place. A perfect place just right for the whole family!

The reason I only suggested five was because, I really don’t want to spoil the fun in discovering the other places by yourself. Although reading reviews from other tourists is a plus point, but exploring yourself can be a priceless opportunity. These are just my very own must see places, if you have not visited these places yet. Hopefully this is enough to convince you to take a trip to Dubai!
