Taal Vista Hotel lights up the Christmas Season

The view from scenic Tagaytay Ridge was made even more brighter and festive as holiday lights shined through the night. Taal Vista Hotel kicked off the Christmas Season with an intimate yet inspiring tree-lighting ceremony held last November 22, 2014 and we couldn’t think of a better venue to hold it.

The beautiful Christmas Trees found in the hotel were fitted with bright and colorful lights that were switched on by Mr. Walid Wafik, Taal Vista Hotel’s Area General Manager, Mrs. Felicdad Sy, and Ms. Elizabeth Sy, the President of SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation. The happy youths of Chosen Children’s Village were there and helped with the tree-lighting as well.

After the ceremony, guests were in for a treat for the ears and heart as a classical Christmas concert serenaded them while they enjoyed a buffet reception held at the Grand Ballroom. The concert featured pleasing performances by a host of talented groups and individuals: the multi-awarded De La Salle Dasmariñas Chorale which was led by Maestro Vell Luis Litan, soprano Maribel Miguel-Ararao, pianist Belinda Ma. Salazar and baritone Joseleo Logdat.

Adding to the festive spirit was their performance of a variety of songs from different genres, from musicals to traditional christmas carols and even a dash of the opera. An enjoyable highlight of the night was recording artist, stage and film actor, balladeer and runner-up in the 1st ABS-CBN Pilipinas Got Talent tilt, Markki Stroem. He effortlessly serenaded his audience with a great mix of contemporary hits and classic songs.
