Santa Rosa, Laguna, Philippines — After a successful run last year, the Department of Tourism (DOT) Region 4A (CALABARZON has once again opened its 2ns Travel Expo last December 11, Wednesday at the Enchanted Kingdom in Santa Rosa, Laguna. The 3-day event will showcase our tourism destinations, cultural and artistic performances, cuisine and local delicacies of the region. There will also be travel agencies present so you can get the best deals and promos on your next travel destination.
The event was graced by Laguna Governor Ramil Fernandez, Laguna Board Member Angelica Jones Alarva, Enchanted Kingdom President and CEO, Mr. Mario O. Mamon, COO Ms. Cynthia R. Mamon Ph. D, and OIC Regional Director Maritess Castro.
CALABARZON, composed of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon has plenty of reasons to be a key player in the tourism industry, shared Governor Ramil. He added that the real challenge was on maximizing the opportunity and the resources, highlighting first and foremost, the manpower, the tourism officers who are promoting the region’s destinations and cultural services.
One of the speakers, Laguna Board Member Angelica Jones Alarva also urges to patronize our local products further boost tourism. In celebration with the opening of the 2nd CALABARZON Travel Expo, there were cultural performances and various exhibitors from different provinces which will highlight the best tourism destinations, culinary and cultural services in the region.
Some of the destinations, products, and activities to check out in the region include trekking adventures in Rizal, the various footwear in Liliw Laguna, the hot springs in Los Banos, the beaches in Batangas, the dairy products and indigenous delicacies of Cavite, and the handicrafts from Quezon.
The 2ND CALABARZON Travel Expo will run from December 11-13, 2019 at the Enchanted Kingdom in Santa Rosa, Laguna.
