New itineraries from Australia, Singapore, and Hong Kong offer travelers more ways to discover Asia, Japan, South Korea, and the South Pacific.
SINGAPORE — Travelers looking for a fresh way to explore Asia Pacific will have more cruise options in 2028, as Royal Caribbean brings Voyager of the Seas to a new lineup of regional itineraries.

Royal Caribbean Sets Sail Across Asia Pacific With New 2028 Voyages on Voyager of the Seas
From October 2027 through April 2028, the ship will offer 2- to 15-night cruises departing from Brisbane, Sydney, Singapore, and Hong Kong. The itineraries span destinations in Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, China, Japan, and South Korea, giving travelers the flexibility to choose everything from quick escapes to longer, destination-filled holidays.
The seasonal program also covers major travel periods, including Christmas and Chinese New Year, making it an appealing option for families, couples, and groups planning their next holiday abroad.
A Bigger Asia Pacific Cruise Season
The arrival of Voyager of the Seas is part of Royal Caribbean’s largest Asia Pacific season yet. The ship will begin its season in Australia before heading north to Singapore and eventually homeporting in Hong Kong.
The expanded lineup will also include Navigator of the Seas, sailing year-round from Singapore beginning October 2026; Ovation of the Seas, sailing from Brisbane; and Anthem of the Seas, departing from Sydney.
Meanwhile, Spectrum of the Seas will sail from Shanghai and Hong Kong, with itineraries visiting destinations across Japan, South Korea, and Vietnam.
According to Ben Bouldin, President of Greater China and Managing Director Asia at Royal Caribbean, the expanded program is designed to make it easier for more travelers to experience the region through both short getaways and longer journeys.
From South Pacific Escapes to New Zealand
The first phase of Voyager of the Seas‘ Asia Pacific season will focus on Australia and the South Pacific.
From October to December 2027, cruises departing from Brisbane will range from two to seven nights. Selected itineraries will visit tropical destinations including Mystery Island, Port Vila and Luganville in Vanuatu, and Noumea in New Caledonia.
The ship will then make its way to Sydney, opening up a new collection of longer itineraries.
One highlight is a 10-night Christmas cruise to New Zealand, featuring scenic landscapes and stops in Picton, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Milford Sound. The itinerary offers travelers an opportunity to combine the festive season with some of New Zealand’s most spectacular coastal and alpine scenery.
Singapore to Hong Kong With a Taste of Vietnam
Travelers based in Singapore can also choose a five-night itinerary that visits Ho Chi Minh City (Phuoc An), Vietnam, before continuing to Hong Kong.
The cruise combines two major Asian cities with a stop in Vietnam, giving travelers time to experience the region’s food, culture, history, and urban energy without having to plan multiple flights between destinations.
For food-loving travelers in particular, the itinerary offers an easy introduction to Vietnam’s vibrant dining culture while keeping the cruise experience at the center of the trip.
Chinese New Year Cruises From Hong Kong
Hong Kong will serve as another major gateway during the season, with itineraries designed around the Chinese New Year holiday period.
Four- and five-night cruises will visit Ishigaki and Okinawa, Japan, with select itineraries featuring an overnight stay in Okinawa. The additional time allows travelers to explore beyond the typical port visit and experience the island’s beaches, cuisine, traditions, and distinctive Ryukyu heritage.
Other Hong Kong departures will explore destinations across Taiwan and Vietnam.
Cruises calling at Taipei (Keelung), Taiwan, offer access to the city’s famous night markets and food scene, while itineraries visiting Hue/Danang (Chan May), Vietnam, open the door to historic sites, coastal scenery and the culinary traditions of central Vietnam.
Plenty to Do Onboard Voyager of the Seas
The journey is just as much a part of the holiday as the destinations.
Families and adventure seekers can take on the FlowRider surf simulator, race down The Perfect Storm waterslides, climb the rock wall, or go ice-skating at Studio B.
For something a little more competitive, Voyager Dunes features a nine-hole mini-golf course, while Laser Tag: Battle for Planet Z offers a glow-in-the-dark experience for friends and families.
Younger travelers can spend time at Adventure Ocean, while teenagers have their own dedicated hangout at the Living Room.
The ship also offers plenty of options for travelers who prefer a slower pace, from entertainment and social spaces to dining and relaxation.
A Dining Lineup for Every Kind of Traveler
Food is another highlight of the Voyager of the Seas experience.
Guests can enjoy Italian family-style dishes at Giovanni’s Table, indulge in steaks at Chops Grille, or explore sushi and Japanese-inspired dishes at Izumi.
For casual meals, Windjammer and Café Promenade offer convenient choices throughout the day.
With a mix of adventure, dining, entertainment, and downtime, the ship is designed to appeal to different generations traveling together.
