Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2016

“All of those cars were once just a dream in somebody’s head” – Peter Gabriel

Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2016 is the biggest and the grandest annual auto show in the Philippines. Now on its 12th year, the show started on April 7 until April 10, 2016, at the World Trade Center combined with the Philippine Trading Center and was organized Worldbex Services International – country’s number one exhibitions and event organizer.

As with the MIAS 2016 now finally back in the Philippines, truly it showcased a vast collection of cars, customized cars, 10 new car models such as Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport, Jaguar XE, Mercedes-Benz A-Class and much more. Additionally, it presented an astounding car stunt show.

Actually, this was my first time to attend an event like this and yes, it was really amazing especially if you really are fond of cars. And let me show you how great were the experience I’ve had in the MIAS 2016.

Driving the Ford Everest Ambiente 2015 Model

Actually, this was my favorite part of the whole event. Being a first-timer in the MIAS 2016, I really don’t have any idea what it’s like being there and how the auto show works. Until I found myself standing near the Ford team and bravely test drive the Ford Everest Ambiente. Having no experience driving on the roads of Metro Manila, that doesn’t stop me to still take a short drive along the Diosdado Macapagal Road outside the World Trade Center.

Indeed, the Ford Everest Ambiente 2.2L 4×2 MT/AT is a perfect and promising SUV now in the market.  With its state of the art technology on safety, smart parking, and a great set of performance definitely it was never been so difficult driving the Ford Everest Ambiente though I adjusted driving it at first. Thanks to the whole Ford Team at the MIAS 2016 especially to Mr. Lemuel Rex Cortez and Mr. Alex Ancaja who assisted me during the test drive.

Of course, cars were the real stars in this event. MIAS 2016 showcased customized cars, restored vintage cars, and leading car restoration companies.

Collectibles

Aside from the real cars, there were also mini car toys displayed in the event. With this great collection, I remembered my childhood playing something like this and dreaming of having a real one too.

Mini Cart

This was a perfect leisure for the kids allowing them to drive a mini cart along a small race track.

Indeed, the MIAS 2016 granted me amazing experiences which definitely made me come back next year and visit all the other auto shows here in the Philippines. Remarkably, life offers us a lot of things and we just have to grab it.
