Lipa City 66th Foundation Day on June 20, declared as a Special Non-Working Day in Lipa

Lipa CityPresident Benigno S. Aquino III has declared June 20 as a special (non-working) day in the city of Lipa in Batangas in celebration of its 66th Foundation Day.

Lipa became a chartered city by the virtue of Republic Act No. 162 in June 20, 1947. Serving as an Institutional Center, Lipa City is one of the three cities in the province of Batangas.

Lipa City is home to the provincial offices of the Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Trade and Industry, and Department of Agrarian Reform, and regional offices of the Land Transportation Office and National Statistics Office.
