Kuala Lumpur International Airport Review

Kuala Lumpur International Airport has much more to it than just being an airport, in my opinion. The Airport has a very welcoming vibe I had a very good experience. Despite the heavy commutation, the place still offered me peace while providing accommodation and leisure.

The airport surprisingly gave me a feeling of being in a compact city where everything one requires was readily available. There are also adequate rest rooms in almost all corners of the airport. Specialized facilities are also available for the disabled people. I had no difficulty in drawing money as the airport provided ATM centres. The airport has all the amenities which give the utmost convenience for travellers. Driving from my Penang hotel to Kuala Lumpur International Airport I was hesitant to how hectic this ordeal was going to be. To my surprise, this airport happened to be one of the best I had even been too.

I saw several travellers heading towards Prayer & Silent room. The calmness and relaxation I felt over there is beyond words. It was interesting to see separate Smoking Lounges which allowed people to smoke without disturbing non-smokers. Kuala Lumpur International Airport has a separate location section which deals with baggage wrapping and strapping. The systematic approach in dealing with the needs and requirements of travellers at the airport is truly awesome. This is what makes this airport, world-class.

Kuala Lumpur International Airport also has sufficient transportation facilities ranging from car rentals, buses, airport taxis to trains which give first time visitors enough confidence to freely explore the city. I also saw payphones in plenty inside the airport. The phones really help a lot of tourists, as they may be arriving with a roaming SIM cards. The airport has special consideration for families travelling with children. There is a Children’s Play Area which comprised of many entertainment activities for engaging children.

There was also no difficulty in finding hotels in Kuala Lumpur International Airport. I got the traditional food that I wished for, without travelling too far. Most of the food items inside the airport hotels are available at affordable prices. The airport also has a Business Centre which is especially designed for businessmen who wish to hold business meetings right at the airport. Massaging centres are available where interested travellers can enjoy traditional massage and feel much more refreshed and energetic. The airport has a ‘Viewing Gallery’ where visitors can watch the flight departure and arrivals. It is located towards the end of the main terminal building. Visitors and travellers can have a stunning view of the satellite building from the viewing gallery.

Another useful service available in Kuala Lumpur International Airport includes the information counters where passengers can avail any kind of assistance and help. There is also a separate section for luggage storage. Facilities such as Pharmacy and Clinic are also available for getting medications and medical assistance inside the airport. Postal services are also available in the airport. The airport has its own 24 hour radio station named as FlyFM which entertains the travellers while they are waiting for their flight to commence. There were also several retail outlets inside the airport.

Travellers can impress their special ones by gifting them collectible items or jewellery. Other items available from the retail outlets include clothing, newspapers, travel guides, books, games and snacks. Kuala Lumpur International Airport is surely one of the best international airports in the world. Its world-class facilities and services will not fail to make an impression on anyone who travels through this airport.
