Hotel Casiana Tagaytay Review

Tagaytay City, Philippines — I’ve been in awe of hotels since I was young. My parents were nomads and desired to travel the world along with me. Staying in a hotel was always my cup of tea when traveling rather than staying in transient homes, staying with a relative, etc. The hospitality industry and culture is what I’m after for; something new and something worth trying to be in.

As the pandemic continues, these trying times have challenged the hotel industry, but being in Casiana Hotel made me feel as cozy as ever as if there was no pandemic at all.

About Casiana Hotel

Casiana Hotel is a 10-story hotel run by the management of Enderun Colleges. Under the wings of  Jun Delos Santos, Residents’ Manager. Casiana Hotel is split in half: one as a hotel and one as a condominium.

To experience the hotel in the flesh, we were invited to stay 2 days and a night to check out the deluxe twin bedroom and all the other amenities the hotel has to offer.

Hotel Location

Honestly, if you reside in Quezon City, the travel to this hotel is a little fidgety. My friend and I got a little lost in the way –  good thing we had direction applications. The hotel is located on the beautiful land of Nasugbu Highway, Kaybagal South, Tagaytay, and Cavite.

With the hotel, you have a glimpse of Skyranch Tagaytay, many other restaurants, transient homes and hotels, and convenience stores around it.

Arrival Experience

Hospitality is what we look for in a hotel – a safe sanctuary to stay away from home and yet feeling at home at the same time. “We want to build a relationship with our guests – knowing exactly what they wanted and needed” as Jun Delos Santos puts it.

In the Casiana Hotel, when we arrived, the crew was so welcoming and warm. They were helpful with the bags we brought, they were concerned with the smallest things or habits we do as if they knew exactly what we needed right there and then.

Upon arrival, we went to the convenience store, to pick up a few things, which was a kilometer away from it, and my friend was left behind because I was walking too fast and they weren’t. I felt the concern of the people who were asking me “Ma’am, are you waiting for someone?” repeatedly as they were finding ways for me to feel comfortable while waiting.

The receptionist was also jolly and blooming. The room service always felt like it was their first shift as they were active in answering the calls even during the dawn. Unfortunately, room service is a little slow but all worth it.

Rooms

I’m a person who enjoys height rather than fearing it and balconies are something that we find relaxation from. In every room, guests are able to feast their eyes on a breath-taking view of Tagaytay.

What I love the most about it is the fresh air we can inhale especially during the night – it was so cold and so welcoming. The balcony is wide enough to move around, unlike those balconies that are there to just say there was a balcony.

There are available rooms for families, friends, etc. complete with free slippers, bathroom necessities, and a safe for your most essential possessions. Then, each room is protected with a card that acts as the key for both the door and the electricity of the room.

I was in deep shock as well when I noticed that the rooms had air purifiers and the air conditioning is something I’m not quite familiar with, but it cools the whole room for sure!

Hotel Facilities

Hotel Casiana has a cafe with a wide variety of beverages from cold drinks to hot drinks and pastries and snacks. Personally, I loved the caramel frappe, and my friend liked the mocha.

Then, they have a restaurant called Binhi Bistro. The dinner we had was absolutely amazing as their Bulalo was the cherry on top out of all of them. The savory soup it had and the flavors sipped by the soft meat it has, making you drool for more – something you would absolutely come back for. It is indeed our fan favorite.

The Laing tasted very well too. I am not a person who actually likes veggie-viands but this made me want to get second rounds!

The second floor also has a bar where guests can also order some cocktails and alcoholic drinks; in an enclosed area, where people can talk and meet new people. But guests can also choose to stay outside in the open area where there are couches where you can also eat your breakfast in.

As Tagaytay is also known to have this cool natural breeze, the pool they had is self-warming which is best to swim during the night. What makes it more fun is that they have an Al Fresco by the pool where guests can also order drinks from!

While the children are playing in the pool, parents can take their time in the indoor gym that opens anytime. Whether you want a midnight jog and a weight-lifting workout, Hotel Casiana’s got you covered, complete with the different gym equipment and machineries a gym jockey has in their dreams.

My friend loved the treadmill and the different cardio machines, while I enjoyed just watching them.

The hotel isn’t only perfect for a stay-in. But events are welcome to also be hosted as they have different function rooms complete with a sound system, karaoke, etc. that holds about 100pax, with an awesome view of the pool.

I imagined it as a perfect place to hold press conferences from companies or agencies – they also have an office that can be rented! A company get-together must sound delightful in a place like Hotel Casiana.

The morning after, we were welcomed with the booming view of the people in the hotel all excited about the breakfast buffet. The buffet was filled with all kinds of breakfasts you prefer. Cereal, eggs, waffles, pancakes, macaroni, cheese, etc. I highly recommend going earlier as they start from 7AM-10AM only – the early bird catches the worm!

I couldn’t think of a better way to start my day with an unli breakfast buffet!

Departure

After a night and spending about 20 hours in the hotel, it was time to say goodbye to the facility. It is something I believe I would bring my family to when we go back to Tagaytay – as this is my first time to be in ever since I gained consciousness.

Hotel Casiana is a best friend, a place where you’ll feel that you’re always welcome as they know you and will always be serving you with the best of what you prefer.

What Hotel Casiana promises and what they differentiate from other hotels is that they want you to feel that they listen to you.

So that the next time you’ll visit, they’ll remember all the things you loved and prepare them, especially for you. Building relationships and connecting with one another.
