Location

Second Wind Hostel (hostel info) by MNL is a hip and budget-friendly accommodation in the heart of Boracay. It is an arm’s stretch to the Main Road, a few meters away to Boat Station 1 White Beach and to Bulabog Beach, and quite near to convenience stores.

Rooms

This backpackers’ hostel is designed with quaint private rooms and a dorm room for eight individual guests.

There are Double Private Rooms with a queen bed, TV, a private bathroom with hot and cold shower, and air-conditioning. For private room guests who prefer to sleep in separate beds, there are Twin Private Rooms with two single beds, a private bathroom, TV and A/C.

Second Wind Hostel’s more economical accommodation is the 8-Bed Mixed Dorm. This clean bunk room presents beach-loving bed-spacers a cozy room where they can have a clean bed to sleep in, lockers with padlocks to store their stuff in, clean towels, bed lights and power outlets to plug in gadgets within reach, and a clean common bathroom.

Amenities

While Second Wind Hostel (hostel reviews) enjoys the award as one of the Best Poshtels in the world by Poshpacker, it is in essence due to its neat edifice, friendly staff who could offer assistance in tour needs, comfy lounge area that serves as a communal and dining area for guests, power generator, free WIFI, and a self-service kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, utensils, plates, microwave oven, water heater, complimentary tea and instant coffee, and bottomless drinking water.

Every guest, on the other hand, is provided with a bath towel, a reading light, a padlock and a locker for storage.

For beach lounging, guests could use the beach lounge area of Ti Braz Bistro and Fuel Restaurant, and also get 15% discount from food and drinks.


Food

Even as Second Wind does not offer food, the hostel still has a self-service kitchen where in-house guests can store and prepare their own food.

For dining out, Second Wind renders its guests discount in affiliated restaurants.

By presenting their Second Wind room key, they could get 10% off from meat grills and drinks at Steampunk. Pizza and other Italian dishes at Aria, Italian ice cream at Aria Gelato, Japanese food at Hama, pastries and beverages at Café del Sol, Spanish food at La Cozina, 15% off on crepes and French gastronomy at Tibraz and healthy treats at Fuel, and 20% off at the hippest and newest Southeast Asian Bar and Restaurant, Gypsea Shack Bar and Grill.
