Celebrating the #PinoyAndProud spirit with Jollibee
Top Filipino fast-food chain Jollibee celebrated Pinoy joy and pride in preparation for Independence Day with an exclusive press event held at its E. Rodriguez branch on May 31, 2016.

Jollibee brings truly #PinoyAndProud flavors this June! With Jollibee wearing the Barong Tagalog, (from left) Jollibee Brand Manager for Yum! Burger, Mathew Whang, Brand PR and Engagement Manager Cat Trivino, and Brand Communications Director and Head of Kids Marketing Arline Adeva holds up their newest offerings: Adobo Flakes Yum! Burger and Halo-Halo Sundae.
Dubbed “#PinoyAndProud: Ang Sarap, Ang Saya Maging Pilipino!” the event launched the latest and greatest of a succession of Pinoy pride campaigns. This includes the highly successful #HappyBdayPilipinas in 2015, where the company solicited submissions of the promises, hopes, and wishes of Filipinos through social media, and “Foreignoy” in 2014, which highlighted the stories of foreigners that think of themselves as innately Filipino.

Regular patrons of the fast-food chain will notice exciting new additions this June. They feature Pinoy twists, including a catchy new Pinoy Pride jingle, a revamp of the Jollibee and Friends look, and a new take on Filipino classics on the menu.
Sarap at Saya
R&B award winning artists Thyro and Yumi lend their talents to voice the “Ang Sarap Ang Saya Maging Pilipino” tune. The catchy tune and lyrics epitomizes the #PinoyAndProud spirit, capturing the essence of compassion, resilient, and joy that characterizes the typical Filipino. Singing along is also quite a pleasure.

According to Jollibee Global Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Marketing Francis E. Flores, “Today, there are so many reasons to celebrate being Pinoy. Filipinos have proven that they are capable of being truly world class in everything they do.”
